About this deal

Reverse Standards Conversions: The 2011 RSC restoration of the first two Episodes produced for the DVD release. (48'54" | 4:3 | 2011)

Resurrection of the Daleks was originally intended to comprise four 25-minute episodes, but was broadcast as two 46-minute episodes due to the BBC's coverage of the 1984 Winter Olympics. The DVD contains the story in a four-part format. Released as Doctor Who: The Collection – Season 14 in Region B. Released as Doctor Who – Tom Baker: Complete Season Three in Region A. Occasionally, material from the standalone DVD releases of serials is moved to a particular season release if it is deemed a more appropriate fit. For example, Tomorrow's Times: The Sixth Doctor, originally included on the Vengeance on Varos Special Edition DVD, was included instead on the Bluray release of Season 23. Most notably, Coming Soon trailer for at-the-time forthcoming DVD releases of serials have been moved to the disc for the preceding story. For example, the trailer for The E-Space Trilogy box set, originally included on the DVD release for Battlefield, is included in the Season 18 set on the disc for Meglos. In the UK, the Series 7: Part 2 box set included a redeemable Ultraviolet copy of the last nine episodes of the series.Only available as part of the New Beginnings box set in Regions 2 and 4. Available individually or in the box set in Region 1.

Only available as part of the Revisitations 2 box set in Regions 2 and 4. Only available individually in Region 1. Season 3 is a box set creator's worst nightmare at the moment. Missing episodes everywhere you look, and the only one with existing tele-snaps is The Savages. Hopefully there'll be a a few more animations over the next couple of years to plug the gaps.CONVENTION FOOTAGE– A chance to hear from UNIT’s Nicholas Courtney and Richard Franklin, recorded in 1986. The Region 2 release of Terror of the Zygons was released in advance as part of The Fourth Doctor Time Capsule box set without special features, and was later re-released on its own with special features.

Nationwide: A report from a school on the day they took delivery of a Dalek, first prize in a Radio Times competition, broadcast 22 February 1972. (3'25" | 4:3 | 1972) In Australia, the logo and cover text were reduced in size to accommodate the Australian age rating on the front cover. The Season 12 and 19 releases matched that of the UK Collectors Edition releases, minus the J-card, which was slightly different. Subsequent releases, starting with season 18, were put out in a slipcase style, with a grey sleeve replacing the interior card case, resulting in a loss of several pieces of artwork. As for classic-era Doctor Who, whilst studio scenes were shot in standard-definition using electronic cameras, most on-location scenes were shot on 16mm film. Where the film negatives from these shoots still exist, they have been re-scanned and combined with upscaled studio footage for their high definition BD releases. Available individually or in the Bred for War box set in Regions 2 and 4. Only available individually in Region 1.MOVIE-LENGTH EDITIONS: Special repeat screenings of Day of the Daleks and The Sea Devils, previously unavailable.
