About this deal

I was looking to try some semi-permanent dyes but was unwilling to bleach my hair as I never have and don't want to damage my hair too much. The first photo I uploaded is roughly what my hair was like when I first used these dyes. My natural medium brown hair had grown through and left over highlights towards the bottom had turned quite light. They were more towards the very end of my hair when I dyed it though, rather than the majority of it like in the photo. The length is about the same.

Celebrate your inner rainbow! La Riche Directions hair dye allows you to create any colorful hairstyle you want. Directions Hair Dye is a semi-permanent hair dye that's extremely gentle for your hair. Each color is vibrant and intense and will add a serious amount of color to your hair. Directions hair coloring is available in lots of different colors and comes in a plastic tub with 100 ml contents. Not tested on animals! Alongside Directions Hair Dye we also have a whole range of complimenting products including shampoo's, conditioner, colour and lightening kits and even a very successful tattoo aftercare balm.

I've tried a few of these Directions semi-permanent dyes on un-bleached hair now and have had mixed results. However, I do love the ones that have worked and have uploaded photos of the best ones. I shall describe each one seperately - all of which were left for around 30mins after being fully applied. La Riche has also formulated a fantastic range of Shampoo's and Conditioners to help you get the most of your colour. The Pre Colour Shampoo will balance your hairs PH before dying whilst removing excess oils to ensure the best results from the Hair Colour. Whilst the Colour Care Shampoo and Conditioner have been developed to be kind to your hair and will ensure your colour lasts! I then tried Midnight Blue not long after (the third picture I uploaded). This showed up a lot more than the lagoon blue, and I quite liked it. On the left is the colour in artificial light and on the right is colour in natural light. It turned out sort of like turquoise on my hair, however my brother was nice enough to say it looked grey... It faded to more of a brown with a greenish hint again after a few washes. This also left some transference on my pillow but wasn't as bad as the Lagoon Blue. This colour was obtained with just one pot and I still have one pot left over.

I tried to wait until the colour had completely faded before applying the Dark Tulip, but there was definitely still some green in the tips. However the Dark Tulip dye (second photo I uploaded) came out as a very nice (in my opinion) purple colour. Again, the left is in artificial light and the right is in natural light. It faded to nothing within a few weeks but I was very pleased with the colour obtained whilst it lasted and I intend to use the second pot soon. This one seemed to stain skin more (but I know reds often do) but I actually noticed little transference at all onto my pillows and clothes. With no ammonia, peroxide or PPD and a strict in house 'no animal testing' policy - Directions Semi Permanent Hair Colour is not only the best fashion shade of choice, it's also the safer way to colour.
