About this deal

She doesn’t sugarcoat the bad parts and glitter the good ones, the heroes are flawed and the villains are human’ ***** Reader Review Like I said, I MOTHERF*& Too Late was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay darker than I thought it was possible for Hoover to go. I mean, have you seen her? She’s farking adorable. She was in dire straits trying to pay for her brother's care until she met Asa. But as Sloan became emotionally and economically reliant on him, he in turn developed a disturbing obsession with her - one that becomes increasingly dangerous every day.

A breath-taking psychological suspense about obsession and dangerous love from TikTok phenomenon and #1 bestselling author ofVerity, Colleen Hoover. The main character Sloan was somewhat annoying for me, which kept the book from getting all the stars. She is trying to take care of a special needs brother, going to college and putting up with a butt-holey boyfriend who is a nut job. When I read that Too Late would be “different than anything CoHo has ever written before” my reaction was pretty much . . . I cannot comprehend why the main narrator does not find a job or whatever like a typical college student... A psychological suspense novel of obsession and dangerous love. The definitive edition of Too Late from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Verity. She has an abusive boyfriend, Asa, and she stays with him since he pays the bills for her brother's care. He treats her poorly, he is violent and shows little redeeming qualities.

Another incredible book by Colleen Hoover. Her writing gets to me every time. I was so invested in this’***** Reader ReviewSo I leave GR for a bit because real life sometimes exists and I hate it. Then I get a message from my bookpushing bestie giving me a 'gentle' nudge to read this book. Invective words were thrown into this story like sugar in cake. I do not have any problems with a bit swearing in books, but this was over the top. It was, but mostly, Too Late was a melodramatic get-together of underdeveloped characters and a ridiculous plot line.

This little free book surprised me. Colleen Hoover's books are usually full of angst but overall they feature 'goody-goody' characters. The story is about Sloan, a girl that is apparently very strong and unyielding, however, in my opinion, she comes across as a whiny doormat. A breath-taking psychological suspense about obsession and dangerous love. If you loved Verity, this is the No.1 bestselling book you need to read next . . . When CoHo released this book, she suggested that this story would be a little edgier and darker than her other reads.

I mean for real. She just had a book released yesterday that stated the same thing and from what I’ve heard so far it’s the same angsty instalovey bullcrap with some kind of rip-your-heart-out (assuming that you, unlike me, actually have a heart) plot twist (and YASSSSS of course I’ll still read the damn thing). but can all that allow me to forget that i cant stand the way mental illness is portrayed in this and hows its harmfully used as a plot device to further develop a certain character as a villain? i am all for hating characters if they are large pieces of trash and have no redeemable qualities. but i dont know if i can promote, even condone, a story which utilises the actions of an untreated mental illness as a way to get the reader to hate a character. if anything, i just felt sad and sympathetic for them towards the end, hating the way the other characters treated him, instead. A psychological suspense novel of obsession and dangerous love. The definitive edition of Too Late from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Verity . so there you have it. how am i supposed to positively rate a book that i really quite enjoyed but dont want to be too generous because there is one major flaw that my conscience wont allow me to overlook? its so much better than 3 stars (its at least a 4), but i personally feel way too guilty with giving anything over that. ughhh. heres a discussion question for you all: at what point are you allowed to negatively rate a work of fiction because there are certain aspects you morally disagree with? additionally, at what point are you allowed to overlook those personal objections because the overall concept/idea of the story is just so dang interesting? this is the dilemma i am currently facing.Had me absolutely hooked. I literally did not have a clue what would happen next!’ ***** Reader Review
