In the animated series, she started liking him when the cheer guidelines were given in the episode, " Bring On Rainbow Cheer". In " Amaya's Time", River asked her other out after a lot of awkward failed attempts. Amaya agreed to this. In " Rainbow Vision Rifts "Audition Begins"" however, things took a turn for the worse when River felt like he needed a break from them and broke up with her. Then in " Dance It Out" she wouldn't let him talk and was very mad showing that she might never forgive him. However in " ...Now On with the Show!" after Natasha's performance was sabotaged from the perfume sent being turned on and malfunctioned, Amaya was looking for River, she asked Luna and Natasha if they have seen him, after they found each other they hugged on the stairs, then they stopped and give each other a smile, showing that they might be on good terms.
