About this deal

And yes, of course, Anais Anais is inocent: just look at the vintage white, round, porcelan bottle with painted pastel flowers.

UPDATE: I have noticed that in the shops they have a testers of the previous reformulation for both EDTs and EDPs, but sell the "L´original" versions of this beauty. So when you test them in shops BE AWARE and LOOK CLOSELY which one is a tester bottle? Is it still the old one or the one that has indeed "L´original" written on it.As it develops, a powdery bouquet emerges, mostly made up of white florals. Bold and lush, it sweetly innocent rather than carnal. Muted tuberose, clean jasmine and the muguet of the opening are most evident. Rose and iris follow, enhancing the powder while adding interest to the white florals. Anais Anais is a very dreamy fragrance, it paints the image in my mind of a 1920's Parisian garden (I know, it was a 70s release but still) and actually reminds me a little bit of The Royal Victoria Park in Bath and Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh. Now i don't need to search for vintage anymore, this version is perfect in terms of duplicating it with a great sillage and lasting power.

Still, it is conveniently non-transparent so you can not see how much of liquid innocence is left in it. Incredible. Just so strong. I can still smell it one day later... even thru clothing changes and a shower. Somehow this is still with me. I decanted a bit into a spray, but I'm going to treat this lil treasure as a Parfum. Truthfully, I never quite get a drydown to AA, prob because at some point 12+ hours later I have to change clothes and/or bathe. :P I would love the skank/leather/incense. Anais Anais is an intense, beautiful floral. I remember distinctly that it used to be overwhelming in the eau de toilette version and a friend of mine used to have the eau de parfum which was potent, as strong as the old Opium in terms of power. Anais Anais shares similar DNA with other musky white floral classics deemed as old fashioned such as Nina Ricci’s L’Aire du Temps, which came more than a whole generation ahead, and was at the time considered a fresh and contemporary scent marking the beginning of a whole new era and symbolized freedom in a post-war world (WWII) with endless optimism and opportunity. Its output is an aromatic explosion of flowers of all kinds that enter the nostrils, evoking the most tender and cozy memories that one can have in the subconscious. I love the bright citric issue it reveals associated with a shot of Lavender and Hyacinth stalks, it reminds me of childhood moments when I had some very stylish and smelling teachers for miles!Scent 7/10 - not exactly modern, but with careful application it might avoid being perceived as "démodé"

By today's standards, this floral creature is not only hopelessly romantic, but outdated and "mature". It smells like a woman who loves to escape into her novels and can't live in a world of terrorism, war, rampant crime and all kinds of evil doing. She has established world peace because it's in her dignified little world. This is a highly dignified fragrance. I picture women like Princess Diana and Audrey Hepburn, Julie Andrews. For a floral, it's not as heavily layered or complex. It's a superb intro to florals. It’s just the right amount of everything to my nose. I really adore this perfume. Funny because my sister had this one in her bedroom, dressing table, around 7 years ago. I dismissed it. Because at that time, I was moving into “ newer” scents. This is pleasant but can't hold my attention; an hour of fun before I move on to something more interesting.

Perfect Floral Fragrance

I cannot recall any specific memories of who in my life may have worn this fragrance, I only know that it seems to be etched into my DNA somehow and is a fantastic match for my chemistry and who I am. Even with clothing, I can’t do wimpy or small scales, or A-lines, it’s not the proportion for my body or my shape. I need a lot of fabric, cut right. I have a vintage 80s bottle that I cling to and rarely use. Tonight, in the completely incorrect temperature zone for this beauty, I wear two sprays.
