About this deal

Molly: I think in terms of the country music industry and size, there's a lot more people in America. So the industry is inherently going to be a lot larger and a lot more ears are going to be listening to your music. it won't be so small. Is Pat Buchanan anti-semitic?". Newsweek. December 22, 1991. Beautiful. Now your debut LP Daydream, we've also had a recently released deluxe version of it. How was that initial release of the album last year, to release that in such a tempestuous year? It Didn't Work". National Review. Archived from the original on July 2, 2007 . Retrieved July 27, 2007. Robinson, Nathan J. (September 10, 2020). "How To Be A Respectable Public Intellectual". ISBN 978-0-393-06711-8.I mean you guys are still fresh out of the gate pretty much. But you've had a very successful career considering how young you are. What have been your highlights and your biggest hurdle to get to where you are today? Sarah: I was in Nashville a few days before we started recording the album, with Chad Carlson our producer just hanging out in his home studio and we started talking about everything that was happening which was the bushfires. I was watching that happen on TV to our home country which was really devastating. We were just talking about it and started writing and this song just happened. It was 3 days before we went into the studio to record, but we had to put it on.

So when I spotted that there was a new YouTube channel I couldn't resist taking a peek at the at who the real 'Jay' was. You mentioned you were listening to vinyl albums, today the way music is out there people can just go song song song song song. Do you feel albums are now being created much more with the integrity of the artist because they're not pushed so much to make hit after hit because the hits will just follow? OMG the fart section?!?!! I think over the years with two brothers, a dad, husband, two sons and numerous male work colleagues, housemates and friends I’ve experienced every single one!!! Some I can even allocate to (a) specific individual(s). Just hilarious 😂 Sarah: Me and Molly are very influenced and love the women of the 80s and the powerhouses - Blondie, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett. James:"We're pretty much just like everybody else in the country, so we wrote in a way that we would like to read if someone else had penned it. You don't have to read it from cover to cover all in one go, it's just little five-minute anecdotes here and there about how we first met and things we get up to with the kids. Hopefully, each segment lasts about as long as a poem."

How do you navigate phones and social media as parents?

Clair:"I think schools in general now are quite good about online safety because of the times we live in. I think it's also about keeping on top of it with your children. James:"That was the part I said when I found out I was going to be a dad. I was just like, 'Right, just keep them alive.' They seem to be doing all right. They're thriving those boys." We like to be really open, honest and teach them all the stuff that you would hope the new generation is going to grow up to be."

Sarah: I guess for every artist but for us that was really important. We wanted to create an album that was a journey. Obviously there's a lot of albums out there especially right now where it's just single single single. but for us, a big part of our band is having that depth and not every song, if you listen to the album, is a single. Some are really left of centre. but that's what we are as a band. We couldn't really do it any differently and have the integrity of who we are, you know, if it was different.Nobody was really interested in instruments and bands. My break times and lunches were me mostly in a music room on my own, playing the guitar. I sort of flew under the radar." Smant, Kevin; Principles and Heresies: Frank S. Popularizing Scholarly Research: The Academic Landscape, Representation, and Professional Identity in the 21st Century. Oxford University Press. pp.362–363. ISBN 978-0-19-008522-3. Your debut single, Daydream, reached number one in the Australian Country Music charts followed by your next two singles reaching number two and three respectively. An amazing start to your career! How did it feel to have such a great reception from your first releases and have you felt a level of pressure to live up to that?

James: "It's just for safety and to make sure they feel protected. It's just a never-ending tightrope. You want them to be happy and you don't want to say, 'You can't do that or have that.' Ultimately, their safety, that's the most important thing." Sarah: We also just wanted it to be out in the world so bad because we were sitting on it. Once everything went down and we were like ‘is it the right time to release something?’ But we just wanted to let everyone hear the art we created as well. It's hard to wait. James: "We've always spoken to them as equals. We've always just spoken to them in an open and honest way. I think it's important to have these conversations. As the boys get older, there's going to be some [interesting] conversations on the horizon." I bet you're looking forward to that... Michael J. ISBN 978-0-8133-7747-6. Clair:"There's a lot of big decisions when you get to secondary school. But you know, you've got to do it. Again, it's the next level of parenting, really talking about the future and talking about what you might want to do with the rest of your life, which is a huge conversation.
