About this deal

Self-sharpening blades are 300%* stronger than stainless steel blades, engineered for precision trimming every time and never need oiling In addition to all the guard attachments you can swap out the clipper for a foil shaver. I often use a full size foil shaver on my face and it works quite well. This one? It doesn't work that well. If you've used the standard head to get your facial hair really short already then it can sort of work OK but it doesn't come close to the regular foil shaver I use. The trimmer is ok for fading and shaping up but it’s not zero-gapped so can’t give you that close skin shave like a razor. I like the attachments and the one-stop-shop approach with the dialled attachment.

The adaptor contains a transformer. Do not cut off the adaptor to replace it with another plug, as this causes a hazardous situation. Suitable for use in a bath or shower. Abans marks yet another significant milestone by launching the Remington personal care brand in Sri Lanka. From its first electric dry shaver in the 30s to the revolutionary straightener Air Plates, Remington’s innovative technology is leagues ahead of its time. For instance, their cutting-edge Pearl Technology uses a ceramic coating that makes straightener plates and wand barrels smoother, harder and longer lasting. Remington’s SmartPro Technology uses proprietary smart sensors embedded in its straightener plates to gauge hair moisture levels and automatically adjust to the perfect styling temperature. It results in faster sleeker styles with less damage. Remington’s Thermaluxe Technology uses advanced sensors in a range of hair care products to optimise heat transfer to hair for healthier hairdos that last all day. Compared to other T-blade clippers I've tried, these seem to work fine, though the speed (rpm) of the blade motion seems a bit slower than many. The plastic handle feels very light in the hand. Many competing T-blade shavers come with a metal handle that some may prefer because it adds stability. The set of length guides is far more extensive than the set that comes with many of these T-blade clippers (many of which only include 3 guides, and no adjustable length guide). That said, you're not likely to use all of these. I did not test this with water. I don't trust thing like this that say waterproof. I don't need to use it anywhere I am getting wet.Since all hairs do not grow in the same direction, you may want to try different trimming positions (i.e. upwards, downwards or across) for better results. This is the never-ending quest to find the perfect travel grooming trimmer so I can give myself a haircut on my travels to stay looking fresh.

The travel case is a nice soft faux leather, and has enough space for the clippers, multiple attachments, plus the charger – it's great. Start with the blades resting lightly against your skin, use motions towards edge of beard line to trim to desired locations in facial area. Note that the manual indicates that the clippers should occasionally be lubricated with clipper oil, but oil is not included in the kit. A running time of 60 minutes is decent and the blades feel like they will remain sharp if looked after properly. It's just not the most accurate beard trimmer I've tested, leading me to believe it might be worth parting with a bit more to get something that will last.If hair builds up during use, switch the unit off, remove any attachment in use and clean any excess hair clippings from the attachment and groomer. Comb your hair in the direction that it grows so that the hairs are at their maximum height and facing in the same direction. So be prepared to buy those separately, or get the ones you already have ready. It's not that big a deal (until you start tugging on hair with a trimmer covered in hair clippings :P). This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. To return faulty items see our Returning Faulty Items policy. This should be 5 stars, because it's hard to find a corded trimmer these days, when it seems everyone wants to cut their hair in the woods or during power outages.

Remington hair care tools give the consumer the power of no-hassle styling, from drying and straightening to curling and building volume. Remington has the tools to enhance each individual’s unique style. Fast, comfortable and convenient. Whether one is making the switch from manual razors or looking for an electric upgrade, Remington has a range of foil and rotary shavers. I think it'd be flawlessly designed if it weren't for the fact that the adjustable stubble head has a rough finish to its comb teeth, meaning that it feels like hair is pulling when you use it, even though the trim seems to be clean. It didn't cause irritation on care skin it touched, but it certainly didn't feel as smooth as you'd hope. This appliance should never be left unattended when plugged into a power outlet, except when charging. There are lots of good razors around this price from the likes of Philips and Braun, of course, but the Remington goes for quantity, and if we're talking purely value for what you get, it's an excellent price. That said, the shaving experience isn’t the most uniform and it can take multiple passes to get a nice even finish. This isn’t helped by the fact that it is also quite bulky, making it hard to reach those difficult, contoured areas of the face.WARNING: For recharging the battery, only use the charger supplied with the appliance - type reference PA-0505U (UK). Note: Use the beard trimmer without the combs for trimming hair close to the skin. This will trim hair to 1mm, holding the blades perpendicular to the skin will trim hair to 0.4mm.
