About this deal

Of course, oversized ammo requires an oversized blaster, and the Boomdozer takes care of that. It’s a large blaster – not just in size, but in design. Whereas Mega blasters often had large writing on them, this has an even larger logo “breaking” out of the shell. Aesthetic opinions will differ, but the design choice is both obvious and well executed. One issue with this gun is that the grip is a bit small, and people with larger hands might pinch or rub their hands when priming it. The grip is small enough that it also isn’t very comfortable to hold with just one hand. Who Should Buy The Mega XL Big Rig Mega XL Darts are the largest type of ammo classified as a dart, beating out the Lanard Mega Darts and Giant Darts. There are a lot more Mega Nerf blasters out because the series is older, but let’s look a bit closer at the similarities and differences between these types of guns. Design

Normally I don’t see mods for smart AR blasters to fire other ammo, due to difficulties in trying to adapt the mechanism. But at least one person has made it happen! Final Thoughts The Nerf Mega XL Boom Dozer is a spring-powered and pump-style revolver blaster that is our choice for the best quality XL Nerf gun. Features With the new Mega XL line, Nerf sees a true return to form. And the Boomdozer, as it turns out, is not only large and silly, but effective as well. It’s the most fun I’ve had with a Hasbro blaster all year, and I can’t think of a better way to launch a new blaster line. You may have to just shoot them to understand, but the main pro is that have a silly and fun intimidation factor. I suppose the enormous size also makes finding your darts a bit easier.

Final Thoughts

With a six-shot dart capacity, it also has the highest ammo capacity of the three. Each pump causes the drum cylinder to rotate and allows you to shoot one dart at a time. The Nerf Mega XL Big Rig is a large hand cannon style blaster that is currently the smallest of the series. Features There are no sub-series that belong completely to N-Strike Mega. The only sub-series the theme has are shared with N-Strike Elite or Zombie Strike. As you can see, the dart holders very lightly grip the darts. I don’t expect the clips to damage the darts in any way if you happen to leave them in between wars.

The blaster is comfortable to hold and use (though opinions will certainly vary for blasters with angled main grips). It also features the same oversized logo, bursting through the white plastic. Because nothing shouts Mega XL like making everything larger! Performance The Double Crusher launches its massive ammo at 50 FPS, but doesn’t have great range. The max range is about 50 feet when with an angle, and the average straight shot will go 25-40 feet. NERF MEGA XL BOOM DOZER BLASTER WITH XL 6-DART DRUM: The blaster has a rotating drum with 6-dart capacity and fires 1 dart at a time with pump-action priming The current feet per-second dart speed for Nerf Mega XL is about 50. When shooting the gun straight, the standard ranges are 30-50 feet. Best Nerf Mega XL GunsTesting the range can depend on a lot of things but the average straight shooting range is 40-50 feet. However, if you angle the blaster up a bit, you can get about a 60-foot max range. Who Should Buy The Mega XL Boom Dozer The BattleCamo Series is a sub-series part of the N-Strike Elite, and N-Strike Mega series, featuring "camo"-style repaints of blasters. Noticeably, the plunger rod is actually already somewhat bent, due to the spring already being under compression. The blaster still works fine, but I doubt that’s intentional. I’ll keep an eye on that, and see how long the blaster survives. Last Thoughts It is possible to fit a Mega Dart inside a Mega XL Dart, but the sheer weight of the dart renders the standard Mega Dart useless. [ citation needed]

The Boom Dozer has a dart velocity of 5o FPS, which isn’t bad for the size of the ammo . You can compare the shooting speed to something like Nerf Jolt, which fires at the same power but with darts that are a third of the size. The most notable thing about the Mega XL line, of course, is the giant blue dart. Whereas Mega darts are about 19mm in diameter, Mega XL jumps all the way to 30mm. It’s not quite Demolisher missile size, but it’s getting there! These darts weigh in at a shade a over six grams. Essentially, six times the mass of a normal dart. The Boomdozer averages 58fps with the Mega XL darts. Which sounds low, until you remember how massive they are! The fact that you’re shooting them that fast is impressive. Rate of fire is predictably slow, with the long priming action, but one dart per second is perfectly feasible. The pump grip is large and comfortable to use, with a long, geared prime to compress the strong spring within. The main grip, meanwhile, is sized pretty much perfectly. I can’t complain on either front. Naturally, the use of such a system means that darts from barrels farther down the line fire more slowly; the air has a longer path to get there. However, when you only have two barrels, the drop isn’t too drastic. Especially with a wide plunger and strong spring. The Nerf Mega XL Double Crusher is a massive pump-action shotgun that fires one giant dart at a time. Features More importantly, the fact that it’s still a dart means more possibilities concerning blaster design. Cylinders, magazines (those would be quite large…), and more could happen, while missiles have less flexibility. Oversized Many blasters under the Mega series advertises a firing range of up to a hundred feet (thirty meters). Even though XL Nerf guns have lower FPS, you have to consider the ammo size. To get more power and distance, Nerf would have to make the priming a bit stiffer.
