About this deal

When it comes to value, you could safely say that the Aokeo is one of the best microphone reflection filters out there. Why? Because for less than 3 figures you get a 4-part reflection filter (that’s made of steel we may add), as well as a nifty tripod setup too! And it’s not like they’ve cheaped out on the build either. Everything feels really solid and well put together. For starters, the size of this mic reflection filter is, well, there’s no other word for it – mahoosive! With a whopping 5 panels (3 fixed and 2 movable), it’s hard to find such a HQ filter which offers so much flexibility. The screen is so large that you can practically shut yourself off from the outside world. Exactly what you need for ultimate diffusion. And yet despite it’s size, on a good quality mic stand, it doesn’t feel unstable. Trading steel for aluminium means this filter weighs just 2.82kg! Obviously it’s nothing to rival the likes of Aston or sE, but it’s certainly impressive for an isolation shield at this price-point. Safe to say that when it comes to sound recording, it’s certainly no slouch. We found the Neewer to do surprisingly well in our sound tests. We were also pleasantly surprised by the build quality, which feels pretty premium for a shield that retails for under 3 figures! In particular, that aluminium outer feels super sturdy, and yet doesn’t add much weight to this iso shield. And as for the filter itself, it comprises of a whopping 10 layers of insulation material including acoustic grade wool, aluminium membrane absorber and sE’s own polyester fibreboard, all designed to help with sound absorption, isolation and diffusion. Characteristics that we can vouch for, as particularly when you study the levels in your DAW, it’s clear the sE RF-Space does its job. It’s no wonder the’ve a patent on this design of multi-layer filter. When it comes to the best microphone reflection filters, the Aston Halo is definitely up there. And while this mic shield isn’t what you’d call conventional, it’s like that for a reason – this filter is custom built for performance!

If simplicity is what you’re after in a mic isolation shield, then NW-6 vocal booth from Neewer may be all you need. As far as foam vocal booths go, this is certainly up there with the best. In contrast to cheaper vocal booths, the foam in the Neewer is reasonably dense and feels supple to touch. Neewer’s also used various types of soundproofing in the NW-6 such as aluminium sheets too. So much so that when it comes to diffusing sound, it doesn’t actually do a bad job. Based on audio quality, you need to settle for a microphone capable of delivering the best audio quality, whether you are making a recording or singing. It’s well-built, made in the UK (not China) and crucially, pushes the boundaries of what’s possible when it comes to portable recording. And for that, we can’t help but admire it. If you are considering adding the Neewer NW-700 microphone to your microphone collection, we suggest reading up our Neewer NW-700 review, so you can have the basic information about this microphone before spending your cash on it.For those working in a niche that requires them to sit at a desk while using this microphone, there is a need for an adjustable arm boom if you want to get the best out of the Neewer NW-700 microphone. Delivering optimal performance is what this microphone is designed to achieve, but it requires the help of a phantom power adapter to power it up during use. Only those who want this microphone for online streaming, podcasting, and the likes will require powering up this microphone with a phantom power adapter. But plugging it directly into a mixing desk is ideal for people who need this microphone for singing. Build quality– As with any piece of studio kit, build quality should always be a far higher priority than price. Yes, budget is important, but build quality should be your focus. That way you stand the a good chance of getting the best value for money. Aspects of a mic shield that could help you determine this include: the mounting system (is it metal?), the type of diffusion (is it just foam?) or the place of manufacture (is it made in China?).

So as you can imagine, pinpointing the best mic reflection filters isn’t an easy task – in fact, it’s mind-boggling! We should know because that’s exactly what we’ve done to create this blog. You can thank us later. Read on and we’ll reveal 9 of the best microphone reflection filters you can buy in 2023…And that’s because no two filters are the same. In which case it’s good to have an idea of what to look for, as well as the qualities that you should value the most. Do so and you stand a far better chance of finding the best microphone reflection filter for you and your setup first time. So here’s the 3 main qualities that we think you should keep at the front of your mind when shopping for a mic shield… What’s more, in terms of design it’s no slouch either! In comparison to all the other mic isolation filters on this list, the Halo doesn’t just recreate what’s been done. Instead it takes the concept of the mic isolation shield and puts its own futuristic twist on it. All of which makes post production and mixing 10x easier. Let’s face it, there’s nothing worse than recording the perfect take, only to later realise it’s been scarred by your family’s antics, or that you can hear the room to the point at which you can basically picture it. So to assist you with refining your sound and getting the most out of your vocals, we decided to single out 9 of the best microphone reflection filters that you can buy in 2023… And that’s because this filter ain’t no slouch! The build relies on premium materials and on the whole feels super solid. We’re particular fans of the metal finish on this filter, which looks 10x better than cheap plastic. Also its shape, which while compact, does a great job at catching stray vocals. And despite all this, the filter isn’t exactly heavy either. Weighing in at 2kg it’s heavy enough to feel sturdy, but not so heavy that it sways around when placed on a mic stand. Easy Operation with LCD Display- The receiver comes with a LCD display to clearly present all information about the microphone and transmitters, including volume, battery life, current recording mode, etc., to allow users to have full knowledge about the mic recording progress and realizes easier control
