About this deal

English (Australia, Canada, India, Singapore, UK, U.S.), Chinese (Simplified, Traditional, Traditional Hong Kong), French (Canada, France), German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish (Latin America, Mexico, Spain), Arabic, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil, Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese iOS 13 has been a moving target, because it's pretty buggy —Apple has already revved it twice since I started researching this review. In my experiences with the three new iPhones, they've frequently crashed and quit applications, but I'm not going to hold that against the hardware. iOS 13.1.1 fixed data signal loss, battery drain, and stability issues; 13.1.2 has even more bug fixes. That's part of the pluses, not the minuses, of having an iPhone —when you have an Android phone, you get used to months, not days, between bug fixes and new feature additions. Wireless Capabilities and Battery The results are startling, elevating Apple to the level of Huawei, Samsung and Google when it comes to taking low-light and night photos – and in some ways enabling it to surpass its rivals. Night mode can make photos shot at 1am look as if they were taken in late afternoon, and if you can get your subjects to remain still, you’ll take great snaps.

We also noticed a definite improvement in exposure and contrast, even over the iPhone XS from the previous year, with more definition and detail in the shadowy areas. In terms of day to day use though, we found the iPhone 11’s screen to be clear, bright and easy to see even outdoors on bright days. It can run up to 625 nits of brightness, according to Apple, and that’s enough for us in most scenarios - blinding if you look at it on full brightness when opening your eyes in the morning.New to the Portrait mode effects in iOS 13 is High Key Mono, joining the Stage Light and Stage Light Mono options – at times it looks arty and professional, but if that foreground image isn't captured precisely, it looks a bit poor. Frumusanu, Andrei. "Apple Announces New iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, & iPhone 11 Pro Max". AnandTech. Archived from the original on September 23, 2019 . Retrieved September 23, 2019. The 11 uses a new version of the XR's 6.1-inch LCD, at the same 326ppi pixel density. Does that screen density matter? It does if you look at a lot of small text. And perhaps in a subtle push toward the more expensive phones, Apple puts some very small text on its home screens nowadays. The iPhone 11's 326ppi is certainly readable, but the Pro's higher-density 458ppi display is a little more restful if you're staring at it a lot. TrueDepth Camera - 12MP Camera, f/2.2 Aperture, Portrait Mode with Advanced Bokeh and Depth Control, Portrait Lighting with Six Effects (Natural, Studio, Contour, Stage, Stage Mono, High Key Mono), Animoji and Memoji, 4K Video Recording at 24 fps, 30 fps or 60 fps, 1080p HD Video Recording at 30 fps or 60 fps, Slow-motion Video Support for 1080p at 120 fps, Next Generation Smart HDR for Photos, Extended Dynamic Range for Video at 30 fps, Cinematic Video Stabilisation (4K, 1080p and 720p), Wide Colour Capture for Photos and Live Photos, Retina Flash, Auto Image Stabilisation, Burst Mode

The 11 gets the same A13 Bionic chipset as the two Pro models. Apple claims it is 20% faster than last year's A12. Paired with 4 GB RAM, it should offer a noticeable boost in the area of gaming performance as well as overall system performance compared to previous models.
