About this deal

One day, during the Battle of Glaecings, Grimmis looked upon the distraught and destroyed state of Deathlius Loss'end, and proclaimed that his time is come to give Death his soul. Whilst in the middle of doing so, Deathlius refused to yield to the Aspect, and killed him where he stood. Because of this, Deathlius lives, but his soul is forever torn by Grimmis' magic. Death didn't take this too kindly, seeing as Deathlius killed one of his "sons", he made Deathlius' weapon into a harvester to reclaim the souls lost by Grimmis. Later on though, Deathlius would rid himself of being Death's pawn. Ronald McDonald appears during a child's birthday party at a McDonald's in one scene of the film Mac & Me. He is portrayed by Squire Fridell, who played Ronald in commercials during the latter half of the 1980s.

Ronald McDonald – The primary cultural icon and official mascot of McDonald's. He is a clown with red hair and a big red smile who wears a yellow jumpsuit and red shoes. Grimmis is much like what one would expect from an Aspect of Death, cold and calculating. Unlike his brother, Grimmis is more noble in his pursuits. He simply wanted to be a more powerful aspect, since he believed what he represents (Sacrifice) isn't to be in vain. However, he is not as deductive as he would think, since he was killed by Deathlius Loss'end in the past. Together they were powerful forces, though Grimmis was looked down upon by his brother. Due to his lesser state of power and fortune, with Esquire having a more vital aspect, Grimmis sought to be a harvester of souls to imbue him with strength, and become a more pivotal aspect. Doing so eventually made him stronger, but he sought to seal this deal with Death. Mike the Microphone – A one-time character created especially for the Kid Rhino albums Ronald Makes It Magic and Ronald McDonald Presents Silly Sing Along. Voiced by Larry Moran. a b McDonald's Says Ronald Is Here to Stay, McDonalds.com, archived from the original on 12 June 2011 , retrieved 18 May 2011McDonaldland is a McDonald's media franchise and the fictional fantasy world inhabited by Ronald McDonald and his friends. Starting with the creation of Ronald McDonald in 1963, it is primarily developed and published by McDonald's. Initial attempts to expand the McDonaldland universe by marketing agency Needham, Harper & Steers were seemingly retconned due to legal issues, but ongoing aspects were expanded in McDonald's projects in collaboration with Data East, Virgin Interactive, Treasure, SEGA, and Klasky Csupo. Grimmis wore the usual Aspect armor, but transformed it into a knight sort of theme. He was fantasized by the knights in the Three Wars of Outhria between the Brotherhood and Confederacy. He wields a one handed sword which he drops in his encounter. Prof, Your Favorite (March 12, 2021). "Shake It Up!". Your Favorite Prof. Archived from the original on April 21, 2022 . They consist of The Happy Meal Hamburger (voiced by Bob Arbogast and later voiced by Jim Cummings [13]), the Happy Meal Fries (voiced by Jeff Winkless and later voiced by Bob Bergen and then Tress MacNeille [13]) and the Happy Meal Drink (voiced by Hal Smith and later voiced by Bill Farmer [13]). The Happy Meal Box character was never voiced, but became a standalone part of marketing campaign for Happy Meals during the 2010s.

Merchandise featuring the McDonaldland characters included a kid-friendly magazine titled "McDonaldland Fun Times", which published six issues a year. A direct-to-video animated film titled The Adventures of Ronald McDonald: McDonaldland Treasure Island was released in 1989, featuring much of the McDonaldland characters from the 1980s. Video games featuring the characters were also released, such as M.C. Kids and McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure.Weil, Roman L.; Frank, Peter B.; Hughes, Christian W.; Wagner, Michael J. Grimace originally debuted as a large purple being with four arms and two legs who loved milkshakes. After that first campaign, Grimace was reintroduced in his modern form, with his number of arms reduced by two. In addition to being used in advertising, the characters were used as the basis for themed equipment in the "PlayPlaces" attached to some McDonald's outlets, small recreational activity rooms intended for young children. While the McDonaldland portion has received somewhat less attention since 2003, several of the characters including Ronald McDonald, Grimace, Birdie the Early Bird, and the Hamburglar are still seen in commercials, Happy Meal toys, and materials supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The Fry Kids and McNugget Buddies received entire dedicated McDonaldland themed line-ups of Funko Pop! figures in 2019 and onward, other characters that appeared in the line-up include Ronald, Grimace, the Hamburglar, Birdie the Early Bird, Mayor McCheese and Officer Big Mac. a b c d e f g h i j k l m "McDonald's vocal credits". voicechasers.com. Grimmis was created by Death as an Aspect, to entitle his being as Sacrifice. He was created as an aspect roughly the same as Esquire, who represents Nothingness. Esquire killed Krivion who represented Sacrifice beforehand, for "getting in his way". CosMc (performed by Tommy Vicini, voiced by Frank Welker [13]) – An alien who appeared in commercials during the mid-1980s. CosMc was a character in the video game M.C. Kids. These characters have not appeared since the 1980s, and the reason remains unknown. Though many assume it had something to do with the lawsuit, this might be incorrect as Mayor McCheese and Officer Big Mac both appear in the 2020 Funko McDonaldland Pop! Vinyl! figures. Grimmis is an Aspect of Death entitling Sacrifice, and is the brother of Esquire, the Aspect of Death entitling Nothingness. Grimmis was in life, one of Death's lesser aspects that worked to claim souls who have transpired to Death's dimension. He wished to attain greater power and become a more powerful Aspect, and sought any opportunity he could to do so.

Bernice (performed by Tim Blaney and Tony Urbano) – A strange creature that was introduced in 1992 and that ate inedible things like the script in the three-part "Ronald McDonald Makin' Movies" commercial. The namesake for McDonaldLand is the McDonald's restaurants founded by Richard and Maurice McDonald, popularized by Ray Kroc. Ronald McDonald was originally portrayed by Willard Scott, a former Bozo the Clown actor. In 1963, he and Washington, D.C. franchisee Oscar Goldstein created the initial aspects of the character. The initial idea to expand the McDonaldland universe was outsourced to Needham, Harper & Steers in 1970–71 at the request of McDonald's for its restaurants. The first commercial aired in January 1971. The early commercials were built on an upbeat, bubblegum-style tune and feature a narrator; many have plots that involve various villains, like the Hamburglar, Evil Grimace, and Captain Crook trying to steal a corresponding food item but are constantly foiled by Ronald.
