About this deal

The bass on the Edifier X3 gives a nice thump that can pulsate in your ears and delivers enough power to pump up the music. In pop, modern dance music and hip-hop, it's definitely possible to feel the bass slam. Yet, it doesn't force itself in front in music that doesn't ask for it. Whichever genre you're listening, there's an enjoyable bass amount - including sub-bass depths when asked for. For my sound test I listened to Eminem’s latest album called ‘Music To Be Murdered By’. As with most hip-hop, a good low end is essential to get the most out of the music. One downside is that at lower volumes, the bass was not as present. However, as you increase the volume, you will be able to hear some bass creeping in – thankfully, the Edifier X3 gets plenty loud. Edifier X3: Battery Performance The box contains everything you’ll need to get setup. It even includes a couple of spare silicone ear tips of different sizes. So you’ll be able to find one to fit your ears however large or small! Touch gestures are a welcome addition. And work well. I don’t like them as much as the AirPod ones but they do the job. Single Tap

Each of the earbuds has been granted an IP55 waterproof rating. Which, basically means they’ll be absolutely fine if you get caught in the rain when you’re out on your daily run. But, things with an IP55 waterproof rating shouldn’t be submerged completely in water. The Earbuds look great inside the X3 Charging case What’s in the Edifier X3 Box? Considering its price, the sound quality on the Edifier X3 was actually pretty good. The earbuds are equipped with Qualcomm® aptX™ audio decoding technology and SBC codec support which are designed to improve Bluetooth sound quality.

The earbuds feature Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, which will bring added benefits to your listening experience if the device that you are connected to supports Bluetooth 5.0, such as better range and performance. As for the buds themselves, they fit perfectly for me. I had no issues or discomfort after long periods of use and that’s pleasant enough for me. It also doesn’t feel loose when wearing them, so if you face this issue, just swap out the eartips. The X3 isn't a bass-focused earphone. The sub-bass doesn't dive very deep, and there's no heavy bass slam. The bass provides a nice thump that can pulsate in your ears and delivers enough power for electronic pop, modern dance music, and hip-hop, but it doesn't force itself where it doesn't belong. The bass on the Edifier X3 isn't a dominator; it's a companion.

I’ve said previously that I love a good high end and that’s still the case! In fact, on systems where I can tune the bass, mids and high’s myself I often crank the treble up to really allow them to sing. Whether it’s a cymbal, high-hat or a double snare I want to hear it.If you were in a store, on the high-street your eye would definitely be drawn to these and that’s a big plus in my opinion. Both the left and right bud are each equipped with a 60mAh battery. This gives you almost 5 hours of battery life if you listen as loud as they’ll go, which is of course not recommended due to long term ear damage! Because the Edifier X3 are built a bit wider, it is more difficult to close the microphone input because it hits part of your ear. So that is positive again. Calling with the Edifier X3 The charging case has a 500mAh battery that will enable you to listen for a whopping 15 hours! There’s enough juice to last you a fair few days. And whilst we’re on the subject of battery life.

The charging case is equally nondescript with the same material choice and colour as the Edifier X3 buds themselves. With a small magnet keeping the charging case together, there is only a micro-USB charging port, and a small ‘Edifier’ logo adorning the caddy. There are no LED notifications anywhere, only on the buds themselves. The box of the Edifier X3 is small. Very small. And that made us suspect that there would be no more than 250 mAh in the earbuds. But nothing is less true. Edifier has actually managed to put 350 mAh in the charging case . That is quite an achievement! It means that you can charge both earbuds 3.5 times from 0% to 100%. An excellent achievement!More specifically: the Edifier X3 TO-U Series once again sounds balanced, with more focus on treble than on the bass and lower mid-tones. The price and feature list can’t be ignored, they’re a powerhouse in terms of a budget offering. And to feature such a good quality microphone for the price, thy can’t be sniffed at!
