About this deal

Chopra left the Transcendental Meditation movement around the time he moved to California in January 1993. [49] [50] Mahesh Yogi claimed that Chopra had competed for the Maharishi's position as guru, [51] although Chopra rejected this. [52] According to Robert Todd Carroll, Chopra left the TM organization when it "became too stressful" and was a "hindrance to his success". [53] Cynthia Ann Humes writes that the Maharishi was concerned, and not only with regard to Chopra, that rival systems were being taught at lower prices. [54] Chopra, for his part, was worried that his close association with the TM movement might prevent Ayurvedic medicine from being accepted as legitimate, particularly after the problems with the JAMA article. [55] He also stated that he had become uncomfortable with what seemed like a "cultish atmosphere around Maharishi". [56] Through a powerful combination of prescriptive exercises and innovative research into the quantum world, the authors unveil seven breakthroughs that will revolutionize the future of everyone’s well-being. Central to this revolution is a groundbreaking understanding of metabolism—the way our cells process energy—that promises to challenge our understanding of modern medicine as we know it. And that is quantum healing distilled to its core value. It’s a combination of the belief in yourself and/or the practitioner to affect an outcome in your life. It could be physical, mental or emotional. It doesn’t matter. Quantum healing is rooted in your belief to affect your health by creating new possibilities. It’s a co-creative process that relies on a force we still can’t quantify. Quantum Healing Techniques That Will Change Your Life Plait, Phil (December 1, 2009). "Deepak Chopra: redefining "wrong" ". It seems appropriate that Chopra and legions of his ilk should now populate the halls of academic medicine, since they carry on the placebo-dominated traditions long ago established in those very halls by their progenitors Offit, Paul (2013). For example, Chopra recounts the results of one experiment in which a group of mice was given a chemical known to stimulate the activity of the immune system. Every time a mouse received a dose of the chemical, the smell of camphor was released. After a few weeks, the smell of camphor alone was enough to stimulate the immune system cells. In some ways, you can think of it as a universal constant. In his ongoing work on the subject, Gregg Braden refers to it as the “Divine Matrix,” and Rupert Sheldrake calls it the “Morphogenetic Field.” Others may have their own interpretation. You may also… But they all refer to the same phenomenon – the quantum field. It’s the unifying theory that transcends the physical world and connects the tangible (matter) to the intangible (thought). Deepak Chopra may be commonly known as more of a "woo woo" spiritual author, but he is also a doctor and has years of experience as a practicing endocrinologist, so his foundations are in medical science. Deepak Chopra, MD serves as the Founder and Chairman of The Chopra Foundation, and Co-Founder of the Chopra Center for Wellbeing.

Quantum Healing is something of a catch-all name for spiritual healing. It’s become a commonly used term for modalities that can loosely be defined as energy work. Although quantum healing is largely based on your intentionality, it’s not a faith-based form of healing. You don’t need to be spiritual to get results. You just need to believe you can heal. It requires belief – not religion. Also see Francoise Jeannotat, "Maharishi Ayur-veda", in Smith and Wujastyk 2008, p. 285ff. This is an extraordinary new approach to healing by an extraordinary physician-writer - a book filled with the mystery, wonder, and hope of people who have experienced seemingly miraculous recoveries from cancer and other serious illnesses. Dr Deepak Chopra, a respected New England endocrinologist, began his search for answers when he saw patients in his own practice who completely recovered after being given only a few months to live. In the mid-1980s he returned to his native India to study Ayurveda, humanity's most ancient healing tradition. On to the central claims of the book: "Quantum healing is healing the bodymind from a quantum level. That means from a level which is not manifest at a sensory level. Our bodies ultimately are fields of information, intelligence and energy. Quantum healing involves a shift in the fields of energy information, so as to bring about a correction in an idea that has gone wrong. So quantum healing involves healing one mode of consciousness, mind, to bring about changes in another mode of consciousness, body" Unremitting nonsense. This is utilising terminology from physics to describe metaphysics in a cynical and/or idiotic attempt to cash in on traditional medicines. If Chopra really believes it works, administer controlled tests and demonstrate that the method or treatment is repeatable and reproducible, just like any other treatment (he was, astonishingly, once an endocrinologist, so this is within his powers). Put some quantification around it. Metrics. Measurements.

This new science of Quantum Healing has been making quiet waves since the 1980s when the term was first coined by Deepak Chopra, an ayurvedic doctor who’s performed what the traditional medical establishment would describe as miracles, or for the more hard-nosed amongst them, mere anomalies.

Though all too familiar in the physical world, Alzheimer’s, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and heart disease do not exist at the fundamental level of quantum reality. By harnessing the power of the quantum body, we can significantly improve our physical and mental well-being, including supporting healthy cell, tissue, and organ function, boosting immunity, promoting mental resilience, and expanding our understanding of what it means to live a happy and purposeful life.
