Being able to add shapes, letters and numbers to your notebook could turn your everyday grocery list into something fun and exciting. Review Perhaps not the first thing that comes to mind when considering bullet journal materials (especially if you use a dot or grid paper) but a ruler is one of the tools I use almost daily. I separated this section from the previous one because I use most of the marker pens here for my bullet journal art. It’s so hard to get the sizing just right and if you’re anal about this stuff like I am, having a stencil to use for those headers will help tremendously – trust me.
To be able to follow the original bullet journal method you really don’t need morethan a single pen you enjoy writing with. When we were using the stencil, we did notice that there were some repeats of the smaller symbols, and they were slightly harder to see against white paper than the other stencils we used. Also, some of the symbols were quite small and didn’t provide a crisp outline when used. Pros
These are my everyday bullet journal writing and drawing pens. They are made with archival ink which is waterproof and doesn’t bleed through any of the paper I have ever used. Some stencils some with tons of options PLUS pens you can be confident will work well in your bujo. For me, the hard cover notebook is the best dot journal you can have but they also have a soft cover one which is cheaper but with good quality paper too. Etsy- There are some gorgeous stencils you can find hand crafted on Etsy. They come in all shapes, designs, materials, and sizes. If it’s a choice between bendy plastic and metal, I would rather plastic and then just carefully hold the stencil in place while I use it.
