About this deal

It is based on the Japanese shōjo manga series, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e ( 花ざかりの君たちへ, For You in Full Blossom), written by Hisaya Nakajo. A slightly overweight Everygirl (who of course winds up being smoking hot by the end of the book) meets a corporate genius who tests his line of sex toys and other sexual products on her before releasing them to the world. Penny is determined to stop him but how can one girl stop the richest and most powerful man on the planet? MokWon University was used to film the scenes in Genie Athletic High School, and Anmyeondo was used to film the summer vacation scenes.

After the trip, Tae-joon reveals to Teacher Jang his plan to confess his love for Jae-hee and to admit to her that he knew all along that she is a girl. The opening scene unfolds and provides little fragments of information that will either latch its ugly little claws on the reader or force many to chuck Chuck's latest weird novel. Later on, Han-na severely injures her ankle during a rehearsal and is feared incapable to do gymnastics anymore. If you don't ask for things like character development, challenging prose, subtlety, or any sort of examination of the universal truths surrounding our shared human experience then, yeah, I can see how this book might do.

It's pretty obvious from the outset that this hyperreal tale is a farcical allegory for society's penchant for overconsumption and the dogged pursuit of pleasure. Another important negative point: The lack of humor; It was an important element too, maybe it wasn’t present in all other versions but here, it felt absent or maybe “left behind”. If I want to read a book that consists of everyone being careful all the time, of saying the right things so as not to hurt a career, of always saying what will please everyone, of talking about real-life issues in a way that's fair to everyone and values the current idea of being progressive over story, if I want that, I'll read that.
