George (11): I think it’s a really fun game, I like the artwork because I can imagine the people in London. Next Station: London makes for a fun puzzle for an afternoon or two, but I am having a hard time imagining a world where I play it 20-30 times. I’m still working on figuring out a better strategy; if I come up with one, y’all will be the first to know. The scorepad shows a simplified map of London with various spots on a grid, marked by different shapes.
They’re kind of helpful for new players, since they give players something to … look to, but they can be a bit complicated, as well. You must draw your line along one of the existing dotted lines, and you connect directly to a station that matches the card just drawn, without passing over any other stations or any previously drawn lines, regardless of color.

It’s the interesting challenge of how starting with purple is very different than starting with green or blue or pink, so the player boards in the game tend to be pretty different, as well!
Yeah, like I said, trying to make a bunch of your routes connect to already-used Stations can be very lucrative. Optimize connections, serve as many sights as possible and exploit the tunnels that pass under the Thames. Interestingly, in the solo game on Board Game Arena, you can play a Solo Challenge that’s pre-generated, which is pretty cool! As well as documenting the sounds of the London Underground, by remixing and reimagining every sound it creates an alternative sound world based on the experience and memory of the iconic Tube.Graphics – The sheets have a lot of info on them, and for the most part, everything is easily explained. It means that the different player boards will end up being pretty wildly different over the course of the game, so you’ll end up with a wide variety of outcomes. Although the box caters for one to four players, you can easily combine two games to make it up to an eight player game and it takes no longer to play.
