As a direct lung vaper it’s always nice to take long pulls without fear of dry hitting – that didn’t occur once. As a consequence the menthol leaves more of an impression after the exhale than on the rear of the throat. I’m afraid it takes away some of the overall appeal in terms of aesthetics. Smok IPX80 Pod Kit – The Display and Functionality Not that this mesh coil is designed for that purpose, but there’s still only around a 50% restriction. Head scratching stuff for me, at least.. With the 0.4Ω coil installed I only had to charge it for an hour in the evening for it to last the next day. Pros:
DTL vaping uses devices with high wattage to pump power into the coil. This process is able to produce a lot more vapour. However, the side effect is that it creates extra heat. To cool this down, DTL vaping uses lots of air. Some will be happy with the airflow, some would prefer a bit more restriction. But for an open Direct-Lung vape, it’s enjoyable especially with the 0.16 Mesh Coil. A little less with the 0.4 Mesh Coil. The 0.16 Ohm RPM 2 coil features a mesh build that can heat more e-liquid at a faster rate, this delivers better flavour along with increased vapour production. They can be used between 25 - 50W. If you’re looking for less vapour, the 0.6 Ohm RPM 2 coils will be a better choice as they support MTL vaping. As much as this is a very powerful integrated battery, it could easily have been replaced with an 18650. Judging by the 34mm width of the mod it’s a viable option.

It’s also the first time Smok have utilized a dual rotary adjustable airflow control mechanic together with a new re-shaped IPX80 RPM2 pod to suit. So hopefully we can expect diversity from a multitude of airflow options. When vaping with the SMOK RPM 2, you should always inhale gently to avoid drawing excess e-liquid into the atomizer coil. If you flood the coil, you’ll notice a gurgling sound when you vape as the excess e-liquid begins to creep up the pod’s chimney. You may get e-liquid in your mouth, and the excess e-liquid may also leak out of the pod’s intake vents. You can avoid all of that simply by remembering to inhale gently.
When using nic salt e-liquids in the SMOK Nord 4, you will want to find a coil that will produce a satisfying throat hit when inhaling and create a relatively large amount of cloud production and intense levels of flavour from the juice. Form factor may not be the Smok RPM2’s greatest attribute but I wouldn’t say the RPM2 is ugly, it just looks functional. The SMOK RPM2 Kit was sent to me for the purpose of review. Inside the Box: I struggle to recommend the Smok IPX80 Pod Kit to anyone that’s looking for a true MTL vape. It just won’t provide that regardless of the included MTL coil. It may have been a totally different opinion had there only been a single adjustable dial.Both raised and tactile, I never had an issue locating it and overall the device feels very comfortable in the hand while vaping. The contours and leather like padding really does make a difference. MTL Mesh 0.3 RPM coil:The MTL Mesh 0.3 Ohm RPM coil is a coil that works best with 50VG/50PG e-liquids such as nic salts, but this coil will require more power to allow the user to experience a slightly more satisfying vape. Warning: If the coils has a sub-ohm resistance, please make sure you have a great understanding and technical knowledge on how to use mods and batteries that can handle Sub-Ohm coils. Do not use short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device. If you are not familiar or unsure of particular products or set-ups, please do not use it. Always use proper precautions and handling. When it comes to performance both coils are excellent. They provided fantastic flavour quality fast approaching that of a half decent sub ohm tank in my opinion.
