The future of the line faced some doubt, with recent sets obtaining slow distribution, and an advent calendar cancelled by retailers. The set was built at my home and it did take a considerable amount of time as the set is well over 3000 pieces. MATTEL products may have manufacturer-side creases, stress lines or dents on window box, blister and/or card. Don't really care about the generic looking ninja figure, though, nor do I need another Webstor or Battle Armor He-man (even if he does have a different chest decal this time). As revealed in early, uncolored prototype form at the last Power-Con, a Mega Construx Snake Mountain playset will soon arrive for Masters of the Universe.Then spend thirty dollars on one figure from a fifty dollar set instead of waiting for the set to become more available and then blaming scalpers as the problem. This multicolor set comes packed with everything you need to recreate one of the most iconic villains in cinematic history - Skeletor's infamous lair.
I know that this is based on the Super7 Snake Mountain design, which summarizes the toy and the Filmation version. Minifigs packaged with the set include Dragon Blaster Skeletor, Thunder Punch He-Man, Evil-Lyn (vintage toy colors), Trap Jaw, Ram-Man, and Webstor.This isn't the work of just any designer doing their job well - this is beyond that, either the designer really likes MOTU or someone advising them does and it's carried through to the final product because I think of normal playsets and items I see lining the toy aisles and half this level of detail would have been "passable" for a normal toyline where everybody is "just doing their 9-5" and not enthusiastic about the property (not that there's anything wrong with that). As an 80´s kid, the pure nostalgia of looking at the packaging artwork and seeing the figures come alive in Snake Mountain is a true dream. Ive only ever tracked creations when they are selling exclusives so I dont know if they also sell general release items or not. This buildable, LEGO-ish version looks patterned on the Classics iteration, which combined elements of the original toy and the various animated designs. Please do not use the `Remember me` option if using a computer with public access or that is used by more than one person.
I'm not sure why it's always surprising that people complain one way or the other - nothing ever pleases everybody. And then…If you make a mistake and have to take it apart…Let’s just say that the “brick separator” is our best friend. I don't worry too much about what's missing from my collection, whether from it being too difficult to get or simply not being made. The forks on the end have worn out from me having to separate blocks that are wedged together too tightly. I am unsure if the vintage one had those extra legs on the back…that seems like more of a 200x detail.I love the figures, and I probably have collected at least a thousand of them so far (mostly for customs).
