I love the built in sun visor an the extra bit of hood that zips out meaning baby can be almost completely shaded from the sun or has a nice dark atmosphere for gtting to sleep with out and about. The hard rubber 6″ wheels and all-wheel suspension provide a comfy ride even over bumpy streets and playground mulch. Younger babies do not yet possess the head and neck control needed to protect against any potential injuries that could occur when moving over uneven surfaces. As far as I can tell, the newer model is a bit more expensive and a bit bulkier but is potentially more comfortable for the wee one. Maclaren provides a LIFETIME warranty from the original date of purchase and you have to be the original owner.

The majority of our testers found the seat cover easy to remove and machine-wash, as well as easy to spot-clean for smaller spills. I like a baby in a proper pram, but with 3 kids and all their stuff sometimes there just won't be room in the car boot for it! The dimensions when folded and the weight are not quite ideal for a travel stroller and you need to measure first if it will fit in the car at all. Its a shame as the seat fabric has only shown sighs of wear on the reflective trim, I have contacted maclaren for a new set of rear wheels but told the axel has been upgraded and would be costly to replace. He loves being pushed in this as he has the great combination of comfort and visability without giving me a hernia from pushing it and when he needs a sleep I can lay it back - also great for summer holiday's abroad. I also live in Saddleworth so not the smoothest of terrain, and over cracks in the pavement, up and down curbs on an angle, the ride can get a little shakier from the small tires.

and it being compact enough to fit in the car but roomy enough to be comfortable for a wriggly toddler! Maclaren sell the Techno XT as a pushchair which can be used from birth, inclusive of a head support, shoulder straps, head and food barrier for extra safety of slipping around, and 5-point harness, however I would prefer to use from around one year old.I also really like the wide side “barriers” on the seat that offer extra side support for a younger child.
