As a mid-range LCD TV with an LED backlight and Quantum Dot technology it provides decent looking image quality with everyday TV viewing, has worthy gaming capabilities and can also playback most HDR standards to a satisfactory level.

Of course, A4 TVs won’t offer up the best gaming performance or even support 4K, so if you care about high-resolution content or want to play games in 4K, you’ll be better served by any number of other sets.However, some of these settings didn’t quite work as expected and will need some tweaking by Hisense, such as the 20-point white balance controls. Replaced the older Hisense U8/U8H, Hisense U7H, and Hisense A6H with the newer Hisense U8/U8K, Hisense U7K, and Hisense A6/A65K.

It's an impressive TV with a similar Mini LED backlight to the Hisense U8/U8K, although it has fewer dimming zones, isn't as bright, and its contrast isn't quite as good. Nonetheless, these different Hisense TVs have commonalities, too – they're all smart TVs with 4K picture resolution, while some sets come with more advanced features like ALLM, VRR, and 8K. The Hisense A7G is a QLED LCD TV that sits in the middle of the range for 2021 and has a number of features you would expect to only see on higher-end models. Hisense has been growing in popularity over the years, and even though they started as more of a budget company, they're competing with bigger brands now. I bought a new TV, after a good 5 years using a 32” 1080p ‘dumb’ TV, I finally upgraded to this, a 50” 4K TV from HISENSE.The series is not only HDR10, HDR10+ decoding, HLG compatible, but also features Dolby Vision, which allows films to be displayed exactly as directors intended. On the other hand, it has one of the glossiest coatings we've ever seen on a TV, so reflections are a bit distracting, as you can clearly see the TCL logo from a display opposite this TV.
