Specially formulated for resin bound installations of driveways, paths and patios, our 10kg kit can be mixed with 80-100kgs of specialist aggregate of 1-5mm, which are available from builders merchants, to create a surface as strong as concrete.Although this product uses the latest UV inhibitors, being an epoxy base there is still a chance that you will notice some colour change on white or light colour stones. However, it’s not as durable as resin bound paving: the bonded aggregate particles may loosen over time, due to car tyres turning on the surface and it is not as easy to clean. And if you think that sounds easy, Vuba make it even more of a doddle by selling 5 litre spray bottles of the EasiHold so there’s not even any need to decant from the larger 25 litre containers used on larger jobs. Note: laying loose, that is *unbound*, gravel or small aggregate over a hard base is never a good idea.

It’s not critical – perfectly acceptable results can be achieved using the watering can, but a sprayer offers a slightly greater degree of control. EasiHold will lightly bind together a new decorative gravel, fix it so that it won’t scuff or scatter, hold it in place so it won’t be picked up on the soles of shoes, boots and wellies, prevent it being lost to the lawn when the mower passes by.

Easihold will bond slate chippings, but because of their size, it would only be suitable for decorative purposes - we wouldn't recommend walking over. Aim for full and completely cover, with every square millimetre of the gravel doused with the EasiHold. The loose gravel gets scuffed and scattered, kicked up by the dogs rushing in and out, walked into the house via the soles of wellies and boots, lost into the adjacent lawns as the mower hovers over, and it has become, not to put too fine a point on it, a damned nuisance. It’s mostly degraded; it rips too easily as it is pulled up; and the sub-grade (the ground beneath) has managed to work its way through. But bear in mind that how your finished surface will be used depends on what type of sub-base your area will require.
