I have never paid for a VueScan software update in 13 years, nor do I benefit in any way from mentioning VueScan here. This need for a paper trail creates many issues, from musty filing cabinets to the environmental cost. It will scan 20 to 30 pages, in colour, both sides within a minute and pop the scan straight into the folder where you can quickly give it a title if desired, then move to the next.

I was very pleased with the purchase - initially I was apprehensive about spending as much on just a scanner as most all in one Lasers but after everyone and the cleaner in the office now uses the snap scan rather than any other scanners in the building. The lack of a standard driver will be a potential issue for some people, and that's just enough to keep the scanner from being an Editors' Choice. Compared to my old scanner this machine is amazing as it is doing double sided scans so quickly, this is resulting in a substantial time saving.The ScanSnap S1500 provides Windows® users an effective way to greatly reduce paper clutter, storage space, and security risk associated with unmanaged paperwork at home or office. It is SO quick - genuinely 20 duplex copies/minute, the thing that slows the process is my being ready with the next file. only logistic data imported: we have only basic data imported from a supplier, a data-sheet is not yet created by an editor. The ScanSnap S1500 document scanner combines a classy design with a footprint smaller than an A4 page.

If you're used to scanning using your favorite program's scan command, and you prefer scanning that way, you will likely find that the ScanSnap approach feels counterintuitive. While Apple’s intentions were good, the reality is that the transition to 64-bit software and notarized apps has been difficult for many users.It can nicely complement an executive office decor, with its silver and black color scheme and a design that's as close to being sleek as any document scanner I've ever seen—even with the input and output trays open. The fact is, if you're looking to get out from under all the paper that's overwhelming you--or just taking up space--the Fujitsu S1500 is a small but powerful organizational weapon that you'll soon find indispensable.

The Mac version comes with additional Adobe software that I didn't want to pay for and I'd read enough reviews to know that Fujitsu had release Mac drivers for the Windows version (and Windows driver for the Mac version).

Documents measuring approximately 148mm in length or less are scanned in "Best mode", while other documents are scanned in "Better mode". It's quick, very rarely misfeeds, and even then only with scrunched up bits of paper, or because I can't be bothered to adjust the paper guides! Multiple product codes can be mapped to one mother product data-sheet if the specifications are identical.

There are also other improvements (text embedding, character recognition) which we use less extensively.VueScan is a software program that works with the ScanSnap s1500 to allow you to scan documents and photos. The Software that comes with the Scanner is flexible, I normally scan and then have it auto OCR so that I can find what I need easily at a later date. It might be so, but Outlook does not preserve the original card scan, and I think that any business card management software, should stand on its own. If you’ve got a scanner that doesn’t work with your version of Windows or Mac OS, or if you want more features, VueScan is almost certainly what you need.
