I'm sure there’s someone in real life who’s recovered as quickly and perfectly as Cal does at the end of this book, but this felt extremely unrealistic - a butterfly and rainbows happy ending. Final Offer did start off on a high so high that I giggled because I assumed this was going to be my book of the year. What I love about recommending Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score is that it's similar to Final Offer in some ways and totally different in others, which should help keep it fresh and interesting for you. Also, his personality is captivating and it's impossible not to care for him, to not try to understand him and, most of all, not to cheer for him. The will had a different condition and an unexpected pregnancy story to give the characters more time to grow. anyways rant over, bc i did enjoy the little moments between cal and cami, they are everything to me.Cal and Lana are anything but smooth sailing and it was what made this book so entertaining to read! Cal got Cami a custom-made boat with the help of Rowan of Cami’s fav princess, they make the boat together. I loved that Asher didn’t go with the “love heals all” path; Cal doesn’t instantly change his ways because Alana is back in his life. After submitting a drunk proposal criticizing Dreamland’s most expensive ride, I should have been fired.
