A user must be capable of pushing against the bed or pulling on a grab handle to move sideways independently. This wool fleece on its own leather backing is the most comfortable and reduces shear forces most efficiently. Available in two sizes, the shorter board is ideal for self transfer whilst the longer board may be more suitable for assisted transfers. The board has a maximum user weight of 200 kgs (over 30 Stone) and can be easily cleaned with soapy water/alcohol/disinfectant and a non-abrasive cloth. User-friendly design: Banana boards often have rounded edges and a contoured shape to enhance user comfort and minimise the risk of pressure sores or discomfort during transfers.
