About this deal

NOTE: As a seller, you are solely responsible for the legitimacy of the product, and its images and descriptions. In its awakening, we can highlight the delicate floral smell, rich white flowers combine with the elegance of roses, creating a highly exquisite feeling. If you do not update your preferences, we will assume that you are happy to receive amazing offers and news. reminds me of being somewhere where you are politely stuck to stay or riding out a boring visit with a very very kind elder family member who has dressed themselves in lilac.

I'm not sure if it's because my nose is lacking or this is so well blended it's hard to pinpoint one specific scent. As it is today, despite the initial resemblance I found to Black Pearls (which I love), Arpege is its own unique, rich scent. However, I also have a vintage bottle of Lanvin eau Arpege and it is divine and transports you back in time to old Hollywood and all things beautiful and ladylike. The initial blast of aldehydes dissipates after about 15 minutes, leaving an exquisite bouquet of flowers. Another weapon in the arsenal of olfactory time travellers, Aperge begins so much like Guerlain's Mitsouko but completes its journey in a softer amber which tapers away to a creamy heavenly vanilla (though not a modern vanilla by any means) I believe everyone should wear this perfume at least once in their lifetime.Maybe it's only because I have been reading Chandler's The Big Sleep, but Eau Arpège strikes me as something one of those wily little rich sister-schemers might use to scent their lingerie and silk-scarf drawers. If I try very hard I can almost pick out peach but it is gone just as quickly as I think I smell it. Just a hint of curiosity for you: I was watching the famous show “The Nanny” when I heard Fran saying that she prefers Arpege Lanvin to Chanel n. I get the impression that "lacquered wood" quality is alluding to things like grand pianos and the interior of violins and celli, in keeping with the perfume's musical theme.

It's simple: with each passing year, our feelings become more delicate, emotions deeper, and life becomes multidimensional. As it stands I got my piece of perfume history for a bargain and I will continue to enjoy the look of the bottle. I don't know how many amber/vanilla drydowns I've smelled in my life, but this is so, so much more refined and original. I smell a lot of jasmine, as well as lily-of-the-valley, combined with a spicy scent (I assume the coriander). It does feel marvelous to me at least, and it dries further into its base of vetiver and sandalwood, it seduces me even more so. It is a bold yet elegant floral bouquet, brightened up top by citrus and Chanel-like aldehydes, becoming wonderfully woody as it progresses.

Though I'm not the biggest fan of civet there is no denying how rich and radiant this fragrance wears because of it.It becomes sweeter and sweeter and the amber shows an animalic side, which is not bad, but I don't find it very flattering, even though you can only feel the dirtiness only from close up.

Overall I think lovers of classic fragrances like Chanel 5, Shalimar, even Bal à Versailles will find something to like about this.Big, swoony aldehydic razzamatazz from the modern Arpege, with infusion of peach, orange blossom, honeysuckle and a bit of powder from orris. then we can say the same about a lot of fragrances of the past, since many of them shared those elements too. It is a very light fragrance for me, it has surely been reformulated and therefore does not know the previous version (s).
