About this deal

This is the type of scent that either I'd wear to a picnic near a winery or the type of scent that I'd wear and think about picnicking at a winery all day long. I don't usually reach for Azzaro when I want something soft or discreet, so while I like Tuscany, it feels a little out of place to me. There's also a strong leathery feel which persists right through to dry down, which becomes close to the skin. The longevity stands up to 6~7 hours with 3 sprays, the sillage is about arm's length, and it projects for 2 hours. I'm writing my second review on it because there is so much to discover over time with the newer formulation.along this I found this laying face down in the bottom of the drawer, actually had forgotten I had this. bottle batch 8 sprays Longevity is about 40mins to 2 hours maybe it fades fast and its like it has no base notes it just vanishes , with almost no projection after a few mins . Immediate reaction would be "soapy" but if you smell this up close you are rewarded with a rich leather and lime combo that is classic yet contemporary. My opinion of Tuscany Per Uomo hinges on how much of the sheer musk decides to show up on a given day.

My bottle of Tuscany has treemoss (no oakmoss) which makes it a more recent formula, but it's hard to imagine this being any richer than it is. I wore this the year it came out in 1986 (a Christmas present from my sister) for about a decade until I was too poor to afford it in my post college years.I have a 2002 edition, barely using it beside other perfumes, and every time I smell it it's just different then todays sweet crap. I revisit it from time to time and try layering--but in all honesty I find it serves me best by being a room freshener in my Home office/garden hut. I guess you could say that the vintage version of Tuscany is what great fragrance is about- time and memory in a bottle, and a personal statement of identity as well. The original was considerably more creamy, way more refined and well worth having in your collection.

Aramis has enjoyed a reputation for excellence for as long as I care to remember - Tuscany being my favourite of theirs. For me, its fragrances like Tuscany Per Uomo, which I thoroughly love to wear regardless as to whether or not it is out of step with the times according to younger noses. Longevity is decent although not necessarily a strength, but this quickly becomes a skin scent on me. Then the orange blosom carries the citrus spicy accord into the mid, so it goes from fresh spicy to more warm spicy. He even admits it to my mom that this cologne is everything to him and he would find a knock-off one when I'm gone because he swears he wouldn't spend his money on unnecessary materials.

I have to say I really enjoy this fragrance because it doesn't open harshly (except maybe the citrus) and it drys down to be more delicate and less butch than some other Aramis offerings, especially the original. I am not sure I have every seem an Aramis ASB except for the regular Aramis version, which would probably go well enough with the Tuscany EDT. I'm not a fan of Azzaro pour homme and I can even smell the similarities here but weirdly Tuscany per uomo has to be my favourite from Amaris. If you have any questions, or are concerned about potential allergens or other ingredients, message the seller. The leather, for example, is not really a textural presence in the head and heart, but more an analine sharpness that accentuates the lime of the opening and then the rustle of herbs in the drydown (the patchouli at the end gives it a bit of a pebbled grain.
