Frank Phillips is ever dependable with his no nonsense style and quick putdowns that make him and Ryan such a great partnership to watch and at times will have you chuckling and can be a welcome respite from the murder investigations.

This one has made it to my Long List for my Top Ten Reads of 2016 and onto my personal favourites shelf. He is portrayed as sexy, good looking, capable, intelligent, fearless and proud - I mean let's face it ladies, we all need a DCI Ryan in our lives right? But LJ Ross has such a captivating writing style that her books just seem to be getting better with each one!
