Sunset Riot is a woman wearing a cool leather jacket over a sleek satin gown w/ platform Doc Marten boots. I have AllSaints Flora Mortis, which I also love, but it is low on both longevity and projection, so I was surprised to keep catching this candy, slightly limonene scent wafting around me. It has that candy-sweet opening like BR540 but as it dries down it becomes a fresher, slightly more generic "cologne-y" scent. The difference is this one is more refined and a little less sweet than Cloud, but they're still extremely similar and it often gets mistaken. I'm too poor to try BR540 but between this and Cloud as far as dupes, this is more in my comfort zone.

This also applies to the orange, which rather reminds of a mild orange peel than strong citric smells. At first sniff I got the fresh citrus and musk in this fragrance and could not for the life of me figure out why this was being compared to BR540.

It fulfills its purpose, but I don't feel that it is ideally atomized and a small drop of liquid remains :( The bottle itself is simple, but still elegant enough. I couldn't get past the extremely medicinal opening long enough to even give it a chance to develop for the dry down. To me, it smells like BR540 extrait got together with By the Fireplace, but created a blend that is quieter and softer than either one of them on their own.

The BR540 smells more to me THE DAY AFTER I used it so I think it's something to do with molecular weight maybe. This one adds some fresh orange blossom gives the opening a slight resemblance of a fresh summer cologne. it is not as sweet as AG Cloud) Projection is moderate with a light spray, beastly if you are an oversprayer.The fragrance opened up with a blast of alcohol, eventually that subsided and I could smell the fragrance which was extremely weak and lacklustre, barely any projection and within 30 minutes what smell there was had disappeared. Once AllSaints Sunset Riot has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a strong projection, very sweet, amber, orange blossom, and pink pepper fragrance with woody and soft floral accords. Even if some smell similar (eg Zara red temptation) the "magic" is missing, the airy, molekülige what makes BR for me. Very casual, unpretentious, "Sunset Riot" is a fitting name- it is something to wear to bonfire, or some other outdoor gathering with friends.
