Natilie remained professional throughout the event while still being able to engage with her young audience in a way that was honest and effective. Upon arriving at Illinois State, Williams talked with upperclassmen who used the flexibility of courses and project options to do similar work. Williams entered the graduate program with the idea of incorporating her favorite television show, A Different World, into her final graduate project. I have the privilege of traveling around the country, soon the world, to provide college students and young professionals with the tools to prepare for executing their goals. Williams finds it important to take a personal approach to connect with students she could once identify with.

I really appreciate these recommendations, which are the best way for me to start a conversation with a potential host. Currently, I travel the nation to equip students with the leadership tools they need to achieve their wildest dreams. And so I actually sort of, kind of, when I first started the doctoral program, I took very few speaking engagements that first semester, because I was like, I need to focus on this program.

So like mentorship, relationship building, leadership despite trauma, Greek leadership, Black and multicultural Greek leadership, first-year experience. And since you started the business back when you had a full-time job and another part-time job, you probably took some lessons from that in terms of time management and so forth. But I had to be sure that it was a safe space because I was not going to allow anybody to sabotage this career that I had worked so hard for. It's a journey of self-discovery that challenges you to explore how your life experiences have shaped your purpose. Innerview: Lessons in Leadershipis a gripping memoir reflecting on the lessons Natilie has learned from her mother's tragic passing when she was just 13 years old to her efforts of pursuing a PhD while touring the country. And so I was able to have even more free time to get out there and to maximize my opportunities to get in front of my target audience. And when you’re doing the interviews, you can, you know, do them over the phone and things like that.
