The Atlantic Palace has had a makeover since we were there in 2013 and it looks all kind of swish now! While mountains might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about visiting Italy, the country actually has some of the most beautiful, jaw-dropping mountain landscapes in the world.I’d seen so many beautiful things and met so many amazing people, people with stories of lives much different from mine in many ways, and very similar in others. With its rich cultural heritage, awe-inspiring history, and mouthwatering cuisine, it is no wonder that foreigners have an enduring love affair with Italy. I’ve only visited Rome and its surrounding and a part of Sardinia, but I did fall in love with Italy the moment I stepped down from the plane on my first visit there 10 years ago. For the first course I chose Bruschetta, my son had pizza bread both enjoyable but my wife did not see anything that she really wanted.

Although Italian men have a reputation for being handsome and well-dressed, their appeal is more about their attitude. Long, very sandy beaches with fine golden or white sand like the beaches of Costa Rei, in southeastern Sardinia; tiny coves like the ones of the Costa Paradiso in the north of the island; isolated beaches where you can only get by boat or – even better – in a hike like the beaches of the Gulf of Orosei.
