About this deal

If you sit the Honor 20 Lite next to a smartphone with an OLED screen, of course, you'll find differences but in reality, you're not going to do this and as the picture is sharp and colours are accurate, there's nothing negative to say about it. It doesn’t add enough functionality or quality to justify it is cost, both in physical terms and space terms, secondly, I would use a main sensor with fewer, larger, pixels (maybe a 16mp one) and include either a telephoto camera or boost the quality of the ultrawide. Currently, I pursue my fascination for IT, technology, and mobile devices by writing reviews and articles for Notebookcheck. However, it only falls behind by a small margin and sometimes even outperforms the Honor smartphone. You get a few extra features, including Ultra Snapshot which takes a photo as fast as possible when you double-press the power button when the phone is off.

We use ColorChecker passport to determine how well the camera of the Honor 20 Lite is able to capture colors.Wireless Charging Wireless Charging (Inductive Charging) uses an electromagnetic field to transfer energy between two objects. You also get a decent amount of memory (128GB ROM/4GB RAM) which can be extended further with a microSD memory card.

Focus is generally fine, but it struggles with exposure swings and annoyingly, the 60fps footage actually looks better than the 30fps footage, and you all know how much I hate seeing humans in 60fps. In our Wi-Fi test, which aims to mirror real-world conditions, the Honor 20 Lite lasts for about eleven and a half hours before it needs to be reconnected to a charger. Mobile network technologies and bandwidth Communication between devices within mobile networks is realized via various generations of network technologies, which provide different bandwidth. Shots against the light cause the image to become too dark however, which also negatively impacts colors.

Full HD+ IPS display with a teardrop notch and is powered by the same octa-core Kirin 710 processor. hours of video isn’t the sensational result you’ll see in some top-end Honor phones, but it’s solid. A Full HD+ (1080 x 2340) resolution offers ample pixels for all but mobile VR applications (and who still uses those?

I’ve been a fan of the Kirin 710 since its announcement, the fact we’ve got midrange chips that are using the same configuration (minus the GPU) of Flagships from 2 generations ago is absolutely baffling to me. Some won't like it but plastic isn't as easy to break like glass, which is a positive, but it will scratch easily so pop on a case to prevent this. You also get a fingerprint scanner on the rear and an AI-assisted triple rear camera set-up which is built into a really cool-looking back panel (the Phantom Blue colour on test is particularly eye-catching). The instruction set architecture (ISA) is a set of commands used by the software to manage the CPU's work.

On the plus side, you get a headphone socket, but on the negative side, Honor has gone with the dated micro USB charging standard rather than USB-C. It has a reassuring heft, despite the plastic build, and isn’t so big that small hands will struggle to wield it.
