I don’t know what it was about this book but as soon as I opened up that first page, and started reading I was hooked, this author just has a way with words, a unique storyline that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go until you’ve inhaled that very last page. It would be too easy to blame Johnny for what he did, because there are always two sides of a story. What I mean by that is that in the beginning of the book when the present-day relationship between Kennedy and Jonathan is most damaged, the contrasting story of their sweet, untainted beginning is told.

Told in dual POV and through the past and present, Ghosted offers a second chance romance like none that I have ever read before. I’m a diehard fan of Ms Darhower and once again, she has showed me her versatile writing in all its glory. I’m not saying there were none of them; they were just a whole lot different and way gentler than I expected them to be. I’m playing with fire, like I don’t remember how much it hurts to get burned, but from here, where I’m standing, all I can seem to feel is the warmth.The exceptional banter in just the right places made me yearn for more, the secondary characters engaged me and appropriately shifted the story, distracting me from what was the main characters’ bearings; but at the same time, is intertwined.

Kennedy is surely clouded with doubts and fears but thank goodness for being brave and opening her eyes and heart to see the changes in Jonathan.Set to film scenes for his next movie in nearby NYC, Kennedy is anxious about the likelihood that he will attempt to reenter her life again.

Overall, I would just like to say that this book is not as plot dense as most new adults are with twists and shocks and story arcs across characters. As she stands there, staring at you, seeing the light in your eyes and feeling so much love in her heart, she would’ve done anything you asked. I want to pick her up and shove her in my pocket, shield her from everything for as long as I’m alive, but I can’t do that, because the truth is, she’s not just mine.they’ve been through a lot and yet they never, ever, stopped loving each other – for this reason their relationship just felt so. He can switch moods in a moment, change scenes in an instant, flip the script without anybody even realizing it’s happening. they both run away at 17/18 and go all the way to hollywood for johnny to pursue his dream of being an actor.
