About this deal

Aside from that, the 2160p picture is overall stable with excellent definition and clarity even in the craziest action sequences, awash in a very fine layer of natural grain, supplying the 2. After being told he’s being embedded in the invasion force that’s going into France as a publicity stunt for the world to see, he balks and tries to blackmail General Brigham (Brendan Gleeson) into excusing him from duty, only to have himself knocked over the head and slipped into the invasion force as a new recruit. With so much repetition as Cage has to battle the SAME villains every single day, it would get boring fast without some humor added to the mix. Blu-ray: English, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Icelandic, Norwegian, Spanish. Even quieter, more dialogue-driven moments sustain the 3D envelopment with subtle yet audible ambient effects circling all around and moving overhead.

Some solid, more three dimensional-like pushback on display and the bitrate to handle it better really helps. The action is fraught but never unclear, slowly building as Cruise hones his skills and is able to use his diet power-loader more and more adeptly with each passing moment. And then again, eventually realizing that he’s caught in a time loop, destined to continue his impossible mission unless he can manage to somehow survive the sandy slaughter. Honestly, I find the various frequencies on the Atmos track to be better delineated as opposed to sort of blending together. But regardless of which side of the Cruise fence you come down on, the star gleefully and knowingly builds on this and his William Cage is one of his most rounded and engaging characters in his whole filmography. Due to the fact that it’s a 2K upscale with HDR the textural details are not going to show a massive leap.

This means that the presentation here on this 4K disc is an upscaled 3840 x 2160p resolution image with its original aspect ratio of 2. Our mission at AV NIRVANA is to pursue audio and video systems that deliver extraordinary satisfaction, allowing one to transcend the ordinary while becoming completely and blissfully engaged by music and movies. Released on Hulu in the US in the middle of last year to all around acclaim, Palm Springs is the latest in a recent spate of “It’s Groundhog Day but…” movies. Based on the novel “All you need is kill” by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, what we get here is a solidly crafted script, that develops the story’s layer peeling elements while maintaining an engaging balance between the action, suspense, thrills and wonderfully integrated levity. The movie storms the shores of Ultra HD with a beautiful 4K presentation and a fantastic Dolby Atmos track, offering a noteworthy upgrade over its Blu-ray predecessor although the bass will leave some wanting a bit more.

Fine details in low light elements can be slightly problematic and shows noise uptick, but otherwise this is a superb looking disc that actually looks a lot better than I was expecting it to look considering the visual aesthetics of the film + the fact that it was a 2K upscale. Their only hope lies in the replay of time, their reliance on one another and the secret they discover in a stronghold deep behind enemy lines. Cruise has always been willing to play against type, albeit in a carefully calculated way, because he’s confident that his image UK will release a SteelBook Edition 4K Blu-ray of Doug Liman's Edge of Tomorrow (2014), starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Brendan Gleeson, Bill Paxton, and Jonas Armstrong.

The overall impact of these two changes is that contrast is significantly boosted, rendering images much more lifelike and textured. It's not terrible by any means but no em/de bossing and a rather dull finish let down the rest of the package a little. We hope you’ll join us in our goal of building a strong community of like-minded enthusiast who have chosen to post with civility and in the spirit of uplifting others. stronger visuals and an all-new Dolby Atmos track along with the same slate of bonus features from that earlier disc. The management works very hard to make sure the community is running the best software, best designs, and all the other bells and whistles. The off-disc supplementals here feel better thought out than in other similar editions, with the overall package feeling like some real effort has gone into it. Low Frequency Extension: Explosions, smashing, punches, gunfire, engines, laser blasts and more really have the subwoofer pounding and shaking the room. The video is great, the audio very very good, and the same extras recycled onto the new set from the Blu-ray.
