The projection is good for around half an hour before it settles into a skin scent for another hour and then it's just gone, like totally disappears, can't even smell it if I put my nose right where I sprayed.

Deep Red notes consist of blackcurrant pear tangerine blood orange ginger leaves freesia hibiscus accords sandalwood Californian cedar vanilla and musk. It lasts for a long time before settling and when it settles the vanilla just isn't strong enough to shine through and save it. I remember smelling this intoxicating potion when I was in my early 20’s and it made me feel like an absolute vixen when I wore it!Still, it was really cheap and it looks like I found a new love and a replacement for my beloved and discontinued V.

The Eau de Parfum of Deep Red from Hugo Boss is one of the more affordable, high quality perfumes for women on the market. This smells citrusy, sweet and fruity at the beggining and turn into a deeper vanilla, flowery but still sweet scent when it dries down. The heart of this fragrance features floral and spicy notes such as freesia, pittosporum, ginger flower, tuberose, and hibiscus. Orange and blackcurrant are intense in the beginning, later it settles down to spicy smokey ginger and sandalwood combination.Definitely ok for night, sexy, but unfortunately after about 1 hour of 8 sprays they have to reach your neck to smell it. I'm 40 now and I'll repurchase in a heart beat, if I find Deep Red again, even if I see it out of season. I love how the vanilla base holds the rest of the notes together, making this a rich, deep, dark, sensuous and very sexual fragrance. I just have so many lovely vanilla scents already and enjoy usually very spicy and "dirty" vanilla scents, so I don't think I would use this very much if I had a full bottle. Today i dared to ask what she was wearing and she showed me the bottle and was nice enough to spray a bit on my arm (without me asking her to do it!
