About this deal

This step by step tutorial will have you using tonal values in painting a watercolour swan with in less than an hour. Once you have opened your box of Brusho powders you can use them by breaking the tabs and opening their lids or by punching a little hole in the top of the lid to allow a more controlled distribution of the fine powders. Use a little palette or plastic plate or acrylic block, or even spare watercolour paper to sprinkle a good amount of the Brusho.

Brushos are also available in Alizarin Crimson, Burnt Sienna, Cobalt blue, Crimson, Gamboge, Grey, Light Brown, Lime Green, Moss Green, Olive Green, Ostwald Blue, Ostwald Red, Prussian Blue, Rose Red, Sandstone, Scarlet, Sea Green, Sunburst Lemon, Terracotta, Vermilion, Violet, White, and Yellow Ochre. If you already use watercolour paints, then Brusho is a great medium for you to try, use it alone, or alongside you traditional watercolour paints. This Brusho Paint Crystals Set contains 12 x 15g pots of incredibly pigmented and versatile watercolour ink powder in assorted colours. When used as a painting medium on watercolour paper, it is advised that a high quality UV protective spray is used to prevent damage from, dust, dirt, humidity, ultraviolet radiation, smoke, scuffs and scratches. To protect Brusho and other water colour paintings from damage caused by dust, dirt, humidity, ultra violet radiation, smoke, scuffs and scratches it is recommended that you use a high quality uv spray.

The powder paint can be used in various ways: by sprinkling on wet paper, applying to dry paper and spraying, and mixing with water to create a watercolour paint. If you are using Brusho to stain cloth it is worth noting that the colours are not fixable on fabric. During the manufacturing stage there is 100% no contamination once the raw materials are received in the factory. The thickened coloured pigment can then be applied in glazes of colour, to change the original colour of a painting. My favourite colours are those that contain multiple colours (eg Sea Green, Cobalt Blue and Orange) so that when you use them you see all the variation.

Brusho can be diluted with water to create coloured transparent inks, or diluted on a palette to create transparent paint. Colours included: brilliant red, lemon, dark brown, purple, ultramarine, black, scarlet, orange, turquoise, yellow, leaf green and emerald green. If Brusho gets on clothes, wash first with cold water until most of the paint has been removed, then wash with warm water and soap flakes. When you sprinkle the powder onto wet paper it immediately dissolves, and color explodes across the page. It is recommended that you do use watercolour paper, especially if you prefer the wet on wet techniques. They are transparent and unpredictable - much like watercolour but even more surprising as you really never know what you are going to get. You will be able to produce a endless hues, tints and shades either by mixing, diluting or otherwise altering the concentration of the paint.
