A modern old school type masculine fragrance,the first spray can smell too spicy and off putting but as time develops gives almost a “clean” vibe of fragrance. The addition of vanilla makes Asad more wearable in more situations and I find myself wearing it more often because of this. I was curious and got this for my husband during Christmas time last year because he absolutely loves Dior Sauvage. Given this, with sharper notes it can be elevated to something truly unique and suitable especially at this time of year.I say this becuase I tested this on strip and I was sold; however, testing today on skin (thankfully still from a sample) it brings out much more spiciness that feels a tad bit cloying in the opening and messy on my skin and turns slightly putrid-spicy on the extreme dry-down. I have disagreeable experiences with Lattafas on the first or second wear and then the next wear, the blend and pyramid suddenly is pulled together and pleasant. That's actually a pity because I love all three of those notes and they would've given Asad an identity of its own. Now more importantly, if you try it (and you definitely should) then make sure you try on SKIN and not on a strip.

Not sure why some have performance issues with this, this thing is a BEAST and was pumping off me all day long. The real magic lies in the bottle itself – a sleek black design with a sophisticated rose gold finish that screams elegance.

Somebody in the reviews wrote about flavored cigarette smell which my nose did pick up somewhere after 5 hours or so. The specific notes and accords used in the fragrance may vary and contribute to its unique character. I can still say that Sauvage elixir is better but it's to be expected considering it's a higher quality juice. Unfortunately mine came with a crack under the lid around the atomiser which very slightly leaks but atomiser still works.
