This ultra nourishing vegan lip balm has been carefully formulated using only plant-based ingredients to soothe, hydrate and condition dry lips. You can also use our rose lip balm on the nails to help prevent splitting of the nail and to nourish the cuticles. Our lip balm is created by using a time honoured process: thousands of rose petals are added to glass jars of organic argan oil. Certainly, we have been selling our original unfragranced argan lip balm since 2007 and we wouldn’t dream of taking it away. The company solely uses argan oil from the Arganeraie and ensures that the oil has been produced with the gentle method of hand-pressing: Argand’Or receives its oil directly from the more than 20 women's cooperatives which are organised in the UCFA (Union des Coopératives des Femmes de l’Arganeraie). It melts onto the lips and provides a perfect hydration layer which last for such a long time but isn’t sticky or waxy or uncomfortable on the lips! That is the most gentle kind of pressing – without any heating or excessive pressure, which otherwise might destroy the sensitive vitamins and effective ingredients.These ingredients are all ‘in a manner of speaking’ edible and form the most basic lip balm possible. If the lips are exceptionally dry, apply a second coat as soon as the first application been absorbed. Once we have received our current harvest of new organic rose water, (mid September) we will offer kits containing rose lip balm, silk fina sponges with the new rose water. It can be recycled with other PP plastic at the kerbside by local authorities who usually collect plastic packaging. I’ve seen other reviews commenting that it becomes gritty and while I have noticed this on my own one too I think that is just down to the nature of the argan oil and the fact it solidifies when cold (like coconut oil) but if you rub it between your lips for a few seconds the grittiness melts away perfectly. I have tried countless amounts of expensive “natural” lip balms on the market that have always left me disappointed . I’d bought some just before Christmas and have only just got to the bottom of the 5g pot now (mid April) and that’s using it most days. They last a long time and I love that the packaging will all compost down so no plastic waste, really important for me, especially as my local authority doesn’t recycle balms in small tins.
