In my opinion, the brightness is managed well between the various levels although I would have liked a low level with less lumens. The TM20K has a built-in battery pack, so unfortunately that means that Nitecore’s warranty only covers you for 2 years. We just needed something reliable and handy to light up the whole of the garden when taking dogs out last thing at night.

Nitecore TM20K (Tiny Monster 20 000 lumens - what an informative name) is, you guessed it, a very bright, and relatively small flashlight. Standard, a rated capacity of less than 100Wg, the Carbo 20K is your best worry-free travel companion. Nitecore have been known for making high-quality flashlights for over a decade and their “TM” range has been around for almost as long. I am not a member of the armed forces and cannot comment on its use beyond that covered in the review. The body of the TM20K is a single piece, and this is not broken by any battery doors, as the TM20K has a built-in battery and is USB-C rechargeable.Turbo working only couple of seconds was a big surprise for me, because I anticipated about half a minute, not couple of seconds. This is kind of what I’d expect, as the TM20K follows the same rules of thermodynamics as everything else in the universe.
