About this deal

British company Mission has launched its first new integrated amplifier in 40 years – the 778X, a substantial upgrade of 1983’s 778. Capitalising on the modern-day trends of traditional styling with value in pedigree, the Mission 778X echoes a long-lost legacy in home audio, with stunning aesthetics. Like the original it sports a useful range of inputs, albeit thoroughly updated to suit modern-day music lovers. Thus, the Mission 778X is a revisit of a classic Mission amplifier concept that was the Mission 778 - an affordable integrated amplifier that offered simplicity in operation but over-performed in the driving of loudspeakers. Featuring rotary controls for easy volume adjustments and source selection, the 778x ensures a user-friendly experience.

Our magazine, which began with the publication of the SECRETS Primer, is available exclusively on-line and offers to our readers an extensive information resource about home theater and high-end audio. Now, personally, I rather like it but then I like the Mission 770 and 700 with their equally oversized Mission logos and some of you have made it very clear that you think it’s garish. Excellent amp for your money I recently upgraded my starter turntable (which had served me well for 2 years) to a Rega Planar 2, and needed a Phono stage to pair it with. Our friendly UK based team are here 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm Sunday to help you complete your purchase. I did find with the Focals that it was easier to provoke into sounding a little bright and hard edged but you did have to wind the volume on to achieve that.

Additionally, it features a high-quality headphone amplifier for remarkable audio quality through high-speed output signal transition. Generally, television purchases of 50" and below will be transported via TNT, although there may be some exceptions. Cambridgeshire, England –In 1983, six years after the company’s formation, British loudspeaker specialist Mission launched its first integrated stereo amplifier. It’s built around JFET (junction-gate field-effect transistor) devices and is quite a racy thing to be lurking in an affordable amp. Whether you’re a seasoned audiophile or just starting to explore the world of home cinema, our knowledgeable staff are on hand to help.Built around an ESS Sabre32 ES9018K2M DAC, it offers one USB-B, two optical and one coaxial inputs alongside a Bluetooth connection that is aptX and AAC compatible. Any purchase made through any other selling platforms will be subject to the Standard Warranty Period only. Underneath the knobs is this black strip which is just there the house the Mission logo and the product name. Much effort has gone into the physical layout of the 778X’s circuitry, protecting the sensitive preamp section from noise interference. From the press release: “The preamp section is kept as simple as possible to maintain signal purity, with line input signals passing to a precision, microprocessor-controlled analogue volume stage.

Designed for the modern-day music enthusiast with a nod to their heritage, the Mission 778X does not discriminate when it comes to expression and enjoyment of your music reproduction. The LX-2 MkII Speakers are an incredible pairing to the 778X, delivering superb clarity and precision no matter the audio source. Something else that feeds into this is that the Mission puts its power down in a very linear way - thanks in part to the use of a rotary encoder rather than a pot - and while 45 watts isn’t a vast amount of power, pretty much every last watt of it is available without sounding strained or harsh. It’s a handsome, well made amp that has a socket for pretty much any occasion and that sounds extremely good across all of them. Much like the now-established and equally class-leading Mission LX MKII series, the QX MKII series takes an already phenomenal loudspeaker solution but refines it, optimises it, and brings even more vibrancy, finesse, and class, through a process of evolution, not revolution.
