Also, this is a very nice blend that has a niche-like drydown, with the florals providing a kind of plush/smooth quality though without any kind of "feminine" presentation (though I think more than a few women wouldn't mind wearing it). I haven't tried PEO:BVA so I'm not comparing them, but this one has a little sweetness in the drydown, just as people are saying about PEO:BVA. I have to admit, when I saw this fragrance (and I mean the EDP version) online for around 20€ I jumped at it, considering that it coudn't be that bad. With that said, it also doesn't last long, around 4-5 hours max on skin, maybe a wee bit longer if applied directly to clothes. After about 30 minutes you get the amber/vanilla but some of the sweetness is calmed down by the cedar.The inner lining is smooth and plush; you can tell there is an additional layer of padding between the inner lining, and the outer leather; the layers creating a gap of cool air, that feels nice and cool around your hand. Fragrance Jaguar Excellence was created by perfumer Richard Ibanez, who enriched top notes with fresh citrusy-spicy accords.

In the drydown, musk, amber and vanilla bring comfort and sensuality, adding another, complex layer to the potent blend, turning Jaguar Stance into a thrilling sensory experience. Of course some people will say they are similar, and it's certainly closer to VL than it is to say an aldehydic chypre marketed to women in the 70s, but I find Excellence to be at least one big step up from VL, and I'd go so far as to say that the drydown of Excellence could be very similar to a niche scent's drydown!
