The best time to minimise water evaporation and leaf scorch is at sunrise or sunset, but it is not always convenient to do it yourself at these times of the day. The product allows you to select from a range of 13 pre-set programs to supply water from once per day up to four times a day. JennyJ - I could go for a cheaper one as you suggest but I'm trying to steer away from ones that have a small LCD control panel. The AC 1 Timer included in the kit, provides extensive control and flexibility to adjust watering duration, frequency and start time. The Hozelock AC1 water timer comes with 13 pre-set programs that can supply water anywhere from one to four times a day. I'm migrating all my connectors etc over to that brand because I think they're better than Hoselock.
