The 'hot highlander' is probably best avoided if you don't want to be bouncing off the walls, but a simple shot of fresh or bottled lemon juice and hot water works well enough. Got this for my grandad and he loves it, He doesn't drink a lot but it was a good gift for christmas. I have found the sweetness of some whisky liqueurs overpowering but with Highland Nectar, it is more the other flavours coming through and it’s delightful.
