An interesting point that I particularly noted on this reading, is that when Beauty's mother tells someone about the situation at home, saying he slapped her and twisted her wrist, and perhaps she and Beauty could get a council flat or stay in a refuge, the response is: 'Oh get a grip, Dilys! The condition of the book was far better than I expected, I'd go so far as to say the condition was as new. Even though Dilly is living with Mike and he hints that he wants to start dating, Dilly refuses for the time being, as she wants to be independent. Knowing how much you love cookies, this must have been equal parts rewarding and delicious to put the ultimate cookie cookbook together.

He obviously felt a certain amount of love and affection for his daughter and wife, and wasn't only a villain.

Calendar arrived safely in plastic-free packaging - which I've not seen before with a calendar, so kudos for that. She has mastered the euphoric balance of crispy meets chewy along with dynamic flavor profiles that keep me turning to her time and time again for cookies that always deliver amazing results! There is a cookie for virtually everyone in this book, as far as I'm concerned it must be one of the best cookie recipe books I've ever purchased.
