About this deal

Personally I'd go with option 2 as it's almost guaranteed to be cheaper to implement and will still retain the two zone pipework. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). Update: My thermostat has been a little temperamental recently, sometimes turning on and off even when the room temperature is at or above the set temperature. Each day can be set with its own programme, or the programme can be copied to other days- so every day of the week can have the same programme- or you can have a different programme at weekends etc. It is rather unusual though to have a Honeywell ST9100C providing time control that is wired to programmable room thermostats that also provide time control.

The Nest thermostats are really designed for hot air systems, there is no provision to even link to a TRV.The geofencing is pointless for me as retired and very rare leave the house for long enough to be worth turning off. I found with the Energenie TRV head the anti hysteresis software was OTT, and it takes a few hours to get to set temperature, I would cheat and set two degrees higher then wanted for first hour to counter this. But you also say "New Build" it is required to have zones in new builds, all that is required is TRV heads, but often one finds zone valves, but the Nest system does not seem to be designed to work with zones, EPH do an OpenTherm thermostat which can be set as Master/Slave but I know of no others, often the zone valves need removing to fit the likes of EvoHome or Wiser. When following the app instructions, (ST9100c) i'm prompted to select Hot Water or Heating for which this controls. I find my house does not cool that fast, even if out of house 10 hours on a very cold day it has only dropped 4 degrees C at most, so is it really worth turning off?

The thermostat only switches on when, for example, the difference deviates more than 2˚C from the set room temperature. It's attractive, and there is an openable cover which normally hides most of the buttons, except the ones needed for everyday functions. I have bought a Tado Wireless Thermostat Starter Kit and I have installed the wireless receiver to the boiler and paired the wireless thermostat to it. If the app is asking you what the st9100 controls it’s probably so it can work out what instructions to give you.

I bought this thermostat controller as a temporary replacement while my other thermostat was repaired. So, the 'live' switching wires that were in A and B (ie the switch, would connect to the Hive Single channel terminals (1) and (3) which are also an on/off switch, exactly the same as the CM707 is. Controlling the climate in your home is not an easy task and the Honeywell CM707 CM700 Series thermostat will do just that. So we want a wall thermostat that on warm days will switch off the boiler, it seems odd, but a large difference between on and off temperature is actually an advantage, you don't want the boiler switching back on again if the sun is out and we have a warm day. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
