This isnt an easy book to read, mostly because at times the author seems lost on which direction to take, so quotes from everyone who knew her pop up all over the place, slowing down the pace and making one a tiny bit bored.

I was really drawn into the book, picturing the setting of her life, the photos within the book really helped you to be drawn into her world. It intrigued me to read that Coco Chanel’s favourite novel was ‘Wuthering Heights’, and that the austerity of the convent was a major influence on her design.Her designs were known for their comfort and simplicity, and she once famously said, "Fashion fades, only style remains the same.

It's probably pretty interesting if you're a huge Chanel fan and/or really into fashion, but I'm neither of these.
