One is mint, which I think fuels some of the Cool Water comparisons and the other is pine, which makes it feel more related to the original Quorum. For those who don't know PS it's a nice uplifting aromatic 'blue' scent from before blue scents were really a thing. A good “Arms Round Each Other” skin scent if not a cuddle one because leather just don’t lend itself to that, at least not off me. Now: what I get on my skin is a predominantly vanilla/minty essence with an undercurrent of aquatic citrus.
Manly scent with a bright ozonic grapefruit opening slowly turning to a herbal fresh freesia and lavender beauty, making it a great fresh fougère that represents an aquatic idea without being aquatic. It could just be the passing of years, but my nose remembers more "aquatic accord" than the batch I recently bought - yet even back when it was introduced, I never would have said it was similar to Cool Water.
If you have any questions, or are concerned about potential allergens or other ingredients, message the seller. I have never smelled polo sport but own both wings and cool water and I see the comparisons with both. The opening is a 100% synthetic men's shower gel (Hydro Fresh), which is probably the first fragrance to contain an opening of this kind, as the fragrance mellows, citrus, and lavender are the dominant notes.
AQ is nicely blended; never overpowering (unless you get carried away with applying it); and versatile without being boring. As it dried down it goes to a weirdly dark place for a warm weather frag because of the oakmoss an’ leather, which gives it a bit more of a hairy-chestedness than a lot of the stuff it’d be shelved next to. This refreshing summer scent consists of aromatic lavender and freesia, followed by dynamic grapefruit and geranium. The only interesting thing I cna say about Aqua Quorúm is, that the leather can be brought out if you wear it in conjunction with a leather based deodorant - like Ferrari Uomo for example. To me it's not an aquatic per se but more a 'fresh aromatic fougere' which can be used all year around actually but does best during warmer summer days as it's very refreshing!
Longevity tops out at around 6 hours before all that’s left is the piney base, which is about what I get from Bleu. Let's face it you don't hear aquatic and fougere thrown out together that often so if you're into unusual aquatic fragrances it's worth a try. I had almost forgotten what it was like to wear, save for a memory that it suited my skin type very well back then and was complemented on using it before. You know, that metallic combination of grapefruit and lavender that's in Drakkar Noir, Cool Water, Green Irish Tweed, and every laundry product or dish detergent ever made?
