To be fair, the text is fairly simple - as I'm sure most A-Z books are - the real star here is the colourful artwork. The interactive pages with flaps and holes etc plus the beautiful coloured illustrations, and lots of animals made it a great hit. It's fun to find the flaps, which fold out in different ways, making it a bit more interesting (though very little hands may need a bit of help here).

Simple, but clever clues to each animals, my class of year 2s found it a challenge to remember which letter comes next without going from the beginning each time .
