About this deal

An Eye for an Eye: This is pretty much It Begins from Reavers. This is a solid surge because they are so many reasons as to how inevitable this. You’re going to lose fighters. You’re going to be able to take out at least one fighter – though that could be matchup dependent. I think you’re going to see this a lot, I like it. Requiring the kill bars it from a better ranking though.

But what free upgrade are you going to play? Give Haskel the Bane of Evil card and watch him get more powerful each time your opponent takes out one of his followers. Proof of Guilt: A hybrid with 3 potential scoring conditions, the first of its kind! I like this idea of this card – it’s a win more card. I think the first condition has no chance. The last condition is decently reliable, though it may depends on who wins the rolloff. There will also be matches where you are the beatdown and you have to bum rush into enemy territory for condition 2. It’s also great for when your opponent is the beatdown and bum rushes you. That all being said, I think the most reliable way to score this card is via the third condition. However, I think that may be a trap. Your opponent can score 6 cards, but they may do it after you have missed your window to score this card. Also, are you going to give up going first in a round when you should to try to score this? I think it’s too complicated. It’s not a bad cards by any means, just not my cup of tea. In underworlds, the war band has a reaction after a friendly takes damage which will give the nearby units a boost, either an upgrade from hand without spending glory, or removing a move or charge token which allow the unit to move again. It is important to note that they can’t be hunters. Look, it may not make sense because canines are natural hunters. But, this definitely done for gameplay and balance reasons. I think it makes sense. Plus, they have cool abilities to make up for it. Arbitrium † • Astronica • Aventhis • City of Sighs • Cotherquill • Gholdenhal • Glimmerheart • Glymmsforge • Gravespurn • Gravewild • Lugol † • Monsam Spire • Mhurghast • Thanator's Manse • Oasis of Gazul • Port Sorrow • Twinned Towns of Belvegrod ( Eastdale • Westreach) • Veilgard • WestportOnce again a bunch of situational cards that aren’t great, although I do like the art for Breathing Tube.

Anvalor • Brighthall † • Brightspear • Callidium • Draconium † • Edassa • Fort Denst • Ipsala • Rozh • VandiumMiniatures in this box are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel paints. I probably should up him a bit for points, maybe 160, but I’ll probably need a few games to get a better feel.

We finally have our third warband of the Nethermaze season! We’ve only waited 109 days. Like no, seriously. The Nethermaze core box was reviewed on April 23. Regardless, it’s a great day to be a Warhammer Underworlds fan! There’s only two one wound fighters in Warhammer Underworlds, Spinefin, and the Brimstone Horrors, so Grotbiter and Ratspike are going to be the lowest, or tied for lowest, wound fighters on most Underworlds boards. There is some debate about whether the dogs who “can’t be Hunters” can benefit from [Punching Up] at all since it would have to make them hunters to fully resolve, but for now it’s a theoretically nice temporary damage boost for them. [Leeched Strength] is less controversial. Even inspired the dogs only hit for one damage, but with their reaction letting them move around they should frequently find themselves next to someone stronger who they can wrestle the weapon from and start hitting with it.

Who Are Hexbane's Hunters?

Tools of the Faithful: I don’t think you’re going to get this round 1 and I think you’re going to have a hard time in round 3 due to wound pool the warband totes. This is most likely a round 2 card. Keep in mind, this doesn’t specify hunters so your dogs can come in clutch if need be. I personally like my end phase cards scorable in all phases of the game and this one is just too unpredictable for me. On The Scent - This 1 glory objective can be scored in an end phase if one or more friendly beasts/companions are within 2 hexes of an enemy leader, or if one friendly fighter are adjacent to an enemy leader. Easy to score for aggressive warbands, and great for Hexbane's Hunters who have two companions.

Here we have the warband with Proxy cards. Each of these is a fighter from the Cities of Sigmar warband, although you will need to add some bodies to turn this into a legal warband. This is 655 points in total, and we’ve used up all the slots for heroes. I’ve also put together an abilities card. For the Underworlds war bands usually you keep fit them into an existing warband. So in this case they’re part of the Cities of Sigmar warband and have access to all the normal Cities of Sigmar abilities. Alternatively, you could have them completely independent. Prayers of the Faithful: I think this is more of a rivals card than championship. It’s essentially a more balanced No Time.Sanctified Sharpening Stone: Determined Effort is probably better because it ignores the hunter restriction. Again good for rivals, mediocre for championship. The four humans also have a special reaction that they can use when a fellow hunter is taken out of action. Haskel himself is well aware of the Price of Victory , and when he gets really angry, he lights his truefire brand. Typically, I snip the ends off of all the pegs that are used to build models like this. They usually end up just a smidge too long and as a result lead to some gaps. I did this on Hexbane himself and I’ve gotta say, it was a mistake. I’d be pretty careful about trimming those down on this kit just to maximize ease of assembly. I did not attempt to build these models without glue, as they are often advertised, but I would recommend something like Tamiya Extra Thin for a minimum amount of added volume. Superglue can often add just a smidge of extra space which can sometimes add to extra gaps, poor fits, and so on. On models this fine, those gaps will show for sure. Uncover the Truth: This is certainly doable, and can possibly be quite reliable in the early to mid stages of the game. Round 3 is a toss up. I just tend to avoid cards that force me to be on a specific side of the board. If my opponent is the beatdown, why would I run up to them and make it easier for them to take out my fighters? So in this case I’m gonna suggest a Reaction after you take damage to allow a nearby fighter, let’s say within 6 inches, to take a free move action. It’s trading a single action for a single action so it’s not action efficiency but it will let the war band sacrifice one fighter to get another into position which feels thematic. We won’t let the puppies them though, so let’s add a not useable by beasts clause.
