I can tell from the story that's what is happening, but neither the vocab list nor the glossary translate the words. I’ve recently been doing extensive reading and listening to improve my Spanish, in addition to speaking.

Side note: This might just be a problem with my version, but I couldn’t help but feel that this book lacked some editing. However for familiarising yourself with these factors and using alongside your learning I think it is worthy of having in your library. I was looking for a more casual reading experience that didn't necessarily feel like I was supposed to be learning as I read.
