Maybe with practice it would get better, but in future I’m looking for something easier like strips, with the right amount of wax already on them. This depends on which area you are treating - the more sensitive the area, the smaller the treated area should be. The wooden spatula is much thinner than the ones you see in beauticians, so you can’t apply that much at a time, and if you’ve never done it before it takes a while to become proficient, so I had a go a few times a creating a swirl at the end to grab hold of as instructed (something beauticians don’t have to worry about as they are using strips). The melt time, the drying time on skin and the general wax is such a better finish - I am so happy it’s life changing! It is a hassle and it is messy, but its cheaper than going to a salon if you can't afford it or whatever reason you can't/don't want to go. Waste of time money and now I have a sticky mess on my body I will have to try to remove in the shower.
